Sugar Beach Bake Shop - Kihei reviews
19Sugar Beach Bake Shop is a hidden gem! Everything we ordered was absolutely beyond delicious which included jalapeño scones, caramel cheesecake, chocolate Reese’s bar, mango cheesecake, key lime pie; mango bread, and cookies! This is a must bakery visit I highly recommend and will visit every time I’m in Kihei, Maui!
We went twice on our trip! Malasadas one day and pies the other! We have been here many times but never had the Malasadas! We stopped in early in the morning on our way to West Maui on a day trip from Kihei. They were absolutely delicious and I think we decided perhaps our favourite on the island! The staff was really friendly and loved our choices! We had the lilikoi and coconut! They were both amazing! We didn’t plan on eating two eat but they were too good not to! The ube sounded intriguing as well! They only take credit card!
We had the pies the other time! The lilikoi was by far our favourite! We will be back!
The toasted coconut filled malasada was amazing. We also liked the passion fruit and vanilla filled. The plain, hot malasada as very good was well.
The Malasadas are to die for! Tried the hot malasada that was rolled in cinnamon and sugar as well as two of the cream filled ones (vanilla and liliikoi). All amazing!
Delicious drinks and malasadas. The hot sugar cinnamon were our favs. Lots of picnic tables outside in the shade for patrons to sit. Note: also lots of wild chickens. Bit of a wait at 9 am but not more than ten minutes from joining the line to being served. The place is tiny, a bit too small.otherwise it's a five. Friendly service. Pay by cards only.
The Li Hing Mui malasadas are delicious! Made fresh to order, they come out hot and melt in your mouth. The sweet, sour and salty combination is a treat! I’ll be back on Saturday for more!
Baked good are delightful, and the coffee is best on island so far, i usually get iced honey latte
Absolutely delicious Malasadas. I had 2 Ube (purple yam), passion fruit and coconut. They aren’t overly sweet so they go down easy. Thanks so much for allowing me to try the Ube first, I’ve never had it before and I’m so glad I bought them. Delicious!
Such a wonderful place! This is one of the best bakeries in Maui! A must try! Be prepared that there is normally a line due to how incredible this place is and they do not take cash so have a card to use! They have a fantastic, large selection. Their staff is kind, patient, and makes the experience even better! Mahalo Sugar Beach Bakery! We will be back!
The staff were Super lovely. This place is dangerously good. I understand why there was a line! The cream-filled Malasadas were excellent, especially the Lilikoi and coconut ones. The strawberry coconut muffin was delicious too! I wanted one of everything but got out while I could! Definitely give them a try!
Always worth the stop. We always get the Farmhouse quiche and it has never failed us. Very friendly staff!
Excellent customer service and amazing food too! Lilikoi key lime pie was our favourite hands down!
Fantasic local quiche and yummy choices for specialty coffee. I loved that they offered iced or hot versions! Highly recommend!
Get the Malasadas! They have ube and cream and coconut flavors. They stop making them by 10am and they sell out shortly there after. Malasadas is like a fried dough donut with sugar on tye outside and cream on the inside, and is an amazing treat! They also sell a delicious mango cheescake, some cool rooster shirts, and other amazing treats. Very small shop, but worth the trip!
Wonderful bakery. Order was cancelled due to fire and they hooked us up the next day and honored it. Killer coffee and best malasadas on the island.
I had never had a malasada before visiting here. I tried coconut and vanilla. The coconut was great, and very tropical, but the vanilla was so AWESOME. I couldn't believe how good they were. I cannot wait to eat these again some day. Love them!
The cream filled malasadas were so good! A must try. But they run out quickly so go early.
Don't miss the spot for freshly baked kids. Pro tip try the carrot cake scone you won't be disappointed!
