Sugoi Bento & Catering reviews
7Garlic chicken is worth Killen for. I only die for wife and kids. A little more of smiles to brighten up our day and their's and this place would be perfect
I went there today September 9,2023 Saturday at approximately 3pm it was closed. I was not happy! Closed because of workers needed the sign says. I really wanted to eat there first time so sad….
When I walked in, the cashier was friendly and polite. I got the 2 choice plate, chicken/teribeef. I'm glad I got that. The chicken was so tasty and cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The teribeef was so delicious! I made sandwiches and my husband loved it.
I definitely recommend Sugoi's you won't be disappointed.
The food is absolutely delicious here. I always get the ahi loco moco with gravy on the side. The customer service is quick and friendly. They have amazing options of different types of delicious food. I usually only come here for the ahi loco moco. It's my absolute favorite plate lunch I have ever tried. The ahi is fried to perfection. It's packed full of flavor and the gravy takes it to another level. It also comes with a scoop of Mac salad or tossed salad. The prices are also very affordable with the amount of food you get. Overall great place to get delicious affordable food. The ambiance is warm and friendly.
The garlic chicken is ono! They bottle the sauce and I have to ship it to my niece 6,000 miles away.
My husband loved Sugoi! He went there from its first opening until he became ill with cancer many many years later. He not only loved their food (usually the ahi) but he appreciated how nice the owners treated him. I miss their food too. We had to move away for his treatments but after he passed I could no longer afford to return to our beloved Hawaii nei. I am so glad to see Sugoi is still going strong and survived the pandemic. I hope many, many generations get to grow up on the ono foods here. Highly recommend the Machiko Chicken. Garlic Chicken. Mahimahi. Husband would've highly recommend the ahi and mahi and the noodles.
Edit: I have to lower this review, because the last 3 times I tried to come here they were closed. No explanation or anything, just a sign on their door saying they're closed 4hrs early. If that happens sometime, I understand. But the last 3 times they just decided to close. I think I'm done trying to come here.
I don't mean to exaggerate when I say Sugoi's garlic chicken might be the best fried chicken I've ever eaten. Out of all the different styles of fried chicken, theirs stands out as the best. It has a very crispy skin full of texture and garlic flavor with a slightly sweet sauce on top that compliments it perfectly. The white rice is perfectly fluffy, and mac salad is creamy and satisfying. My first thought after eating was when can I come back.
