17Tiki Nui is a gem in Hanalei. Julia is the best bartender, atmosphere is cool and laid back and the food is awesome! Try the ahi chips! Will definitely come back! Live music every day!
The food was pretty good. This place was hurting for help when we were there.pizzas not cut, water glass had cleaner in it.
Well, it's Kauai. It's not a culinary paradise. The food here is OK. The service and attitude is very good. But I have come to expect just average food all over the island for the most part. Had fish is a Wasabi soy sauce. It was a bit dry and sauce was just basic. Come for the vibe and drinks.
Great mai tais, Hawaiian pizza was delicious (w/ jalapeños), and amazing tuna app. Live music too. Fun, casual vibe.
This was the worst experience ever. We waited 2 hrs for a table (we were told 40min), they were out of half the menu (one hour before closing), subpar food, overpriced, horrible service. Should have gone somewhere else for our last night.
Love this place! Great Mai Tai happy hour, a must stop in Hanalei Bay! The burger with fried egg was A-maz-ing. Fast friendly service, even during the rush our every need was attended. Great job Savannah! Their famous Mai Tais were delicious, not the typical watered down happy hour variety. Coming back for sure!
Food was OK, but the dancing and music were lovely! It was a privilege to be a member of the audience!
Had their brunch and it was so tasty! We got the cinnamon crusted French toast and the pesto bagel with fried egg and loved it. Fun tiki bar atmosphere and our waitress was extremely friendly and helpful. We almost went back the next day but ended up somewhere else. We will definitely be back again though!
I called to make a reservation, they only took my first name because my last name was too hard to spell, so they said. I made the reservation anyway and left my phone number, which they undoubtedly did not write down either. I show up on the day of my reservation and they have nothing. Totally disorganized.
I can’t speak to the food, but the management is a s**tshow.
Eight nights on Kauai … every reservation I made was held and honored, except this one.
Drinks were amazing, Mai tai was the best we had on the island. Food was just as good, get the Ahi Carpaccio! Our server Aiden was the best!
Had Sunday breakfast yesterday and perhaps the best breakfast on Kauai ever. Each dish we all had was made with love, beautiful presentation and most of all delicious.
The service and rudness of the wait staff were too much for me to stomach! Go two doors down for a better atmosphere and better service and better food.
Service and food were great and they were short staffed due to the road closures. Didn't get photos of the food because we ate it too quickly. Also, trust the staff when they make food suggestions. You won't be disappointed!
Hostess was the horest that I meet. A huge waiting list
Be prepared to wait more then one hour before you have food.
The food here is decent to good but not good enough to warrant the lack of courtesy and incompetence of the staff. We were there at 4: 45pm on a Wed evening on July 14; it was busy but I assume this is not the busiest time. We informed the hostess that that we wanted to order for takeaway and she informed us that it is easier for them if we use the online app menupoint.net. We found the app, added what we wanted added our options but could see no way to proceed and place the order or payment. We showed this to the hostess but she had no idea how to use the app so she called another staff member to look at it. This guy made a brief attempt at trying to make it work but then told us he did not have the time but could try again later. The obvious and courteous response would have been "this is not working, let me take your order for you", but that is not what we got.
Due to lack of open restaurants in Kauai restaurants can get away with treating people any way they want to, since the tourists are desperate, especially the ones living in hotels.
Live music, good vibes, fun cocktails, friendly service, decent pizza. Expect a wait, there’s a reason people stay for a while.
Live music everyday starting at 6: 30! Let me tell y’all something, the food is good and all, but the atmosphere here with the live music makes it incredible. I highly recommend it, and if you decide to come for dinner, the wait time is VERY long and they don’t accept reservations (wait is even longer on weekends). We got there at 6 and got seated at 7: 15 on a Thursday, so you can imagine what the weekends are like. A band called Anahola was playing the night I went, and they are incredibly talented, one of the best live bands I have heard. About the food, the prices are on the high end (but so is every other restaurant in Kauai). I ordered the Hawaiian pizza with Kalua pork, the tuna carpaccio, and the beet salad. The pizza was pretty good, but the tuna carpaccio and beet salad were really good. Once again, I definitely recommend coming here if you are in the Princeville area, just remember to get your name on the list early.
