The Beach Bar, Honolulu HI

Located just steps from the beach, Beach Bar offers a good view of the shoreline and a refreshing ocean breeze of Waikiki beach.

During our visit, we were lucky to secure the last patio table right in front of the beach. We sampled the Pupu Sampler and Surfrider Poke Bowl, both showcasing fresh local Ahi. The Poke Bowl had a delightful crunchy texture from the wasabi peas and onions, offering a nice contrast to the silky Ahi. The Ahi in the Pupu Sampler also shined. However, the chili crunch edamame on the plate was just average, with the chili crisp not adding much to the edamame's mild flavor. The sampler still redeemed itself with the coconut tamarind chicken wings. Although the tamarind seasoning was slightly heavy-handed, it paired brilliantly with our tropical cocktails.

Overall, a solid spot for sipping cocktails and enjoying light bites while soaking in the stunning beach view.

One of the best locations for a sunset drink in Waikiki. There’s a no fuss relaxed atmosphere. If a table is available you grab it and sit down. The service is great and so are the views. The chips are tasty!

Excellent! The scenery, the service and the food! I had Surfrider Poke Bowl and Konami Big Wave Golden Ale.

Customer service sucks. Never answers the phone and the front desk refuses to help or try to contact someone at the beach bar to speak with you. Definitely no aloha spirit. They need better training and kinder people at the front

Since this is right next to the beach and there’s live music, the prices were higher. Cocktails were around $20 and were just average, nothing spectacular.

Must go! Tristan was an excellent server. He was helpful when picking out drinks and food and provided a friendly experience. The bad: there was someone at a table smoking nearby and it was annoying. There was a patron watching political videos at full volume on his laptop during Johnny Valentine’s Monday night performance. All of this aside, we still had a great time! The drink menu is excellent. I fully enjoyed the blended/frozen options.

Great beach front bar, can order for sit down or “to-go” (consume anywhere within the hotel). They are generous on the alcohol pours and the pina colada was refreshing! Tristan our server was so sweet, we forgot our shoes and he run to gave it to us!

Always a relaxing atmosphere and great service. Priced exactly where you’d expect. But you’re in paradise!

The waitress refused to allow us to split the check. I was there on business and wanted to pay my own bill with a corporate card, but she refused and said we could only split 8 people into three cards. It was very inconvenient and very poor hosting. We used PayPal and Venmo to balance accounts after the nonsense. Will not return.

While hanging out at Waikiki Beach, due to time constraints, I picked up and ate lunch at the Beach Bar as To go.
All the food I ordered was delicious. It's a restaurant I'd definitely recommend on a trip with my family or parents, and the only restaurant I'd definitely go back to when I go back to Waikiki.

Great atmosphere.a bit upscale and near the water. Drinks are decent, but there are better in town and at much lower prices. The bar service isn't bad, but certainly needs improvement. Places like the Hideout and Wolfgang's offer far superior service and have decent happy hours (for upscale type places in Waikiki). Thus, this place is all hotel guests and doesn't seem to attract many local clients like me. Disclaimer: I've never had the food so this is a review of the bar and drinks.particularly since it's called "The Beach Bar".

The server - we saw the name 'Adriana' on our receipt but not sure if it was her name - who treated us tried to repell us simply because we were a small group of Asian students. She said we need to finish our drinks as soon as possible and yield our table to other customers, while saying nothing to any other customers there. She consistently asked us when we were going to be done, threw us the bill when we didn't even ask for it. Totally unpleasant experience and would like to tell it widespread.

Our local friends booked in advance. We were in the lobby end so we were able to take full advantage of the entertainment after dinner. Our ribs were tasty and very tender. The brussel sprouts were overcooked and dry which was a bit disappointing. Overall the food was good and our waiter was able to get our friends a Caesar Salad made even though it is not on the menu. The entertainer was exceptional. His music had people dancing all over the foyer area and even up the stairs. Eclectic age group and dress styles from beachwear to evening gowns. Certainly a people watcher's paradise.

We came here for drinks on a Tuesday night, so cannot comment on the food.
It took some time to get the attention of the server to get us a table, and took a long time for the server to bring menus, then take our order again. It was a decently busy, weekday night.
The location is beautiful and we were able to watch the sun set.

Delicious food with the sound of the waves in the background. As the sun set a live musician started playing hawaiian styled pop favs. Highly recommend!

You have to see it The bar menu shows the typical dishes and great drinks The staff is very friendly and courteous. The sunset is spectacular Please don't expect fine dining, but we would come back anytime

We sate at the Mango daikary was devine. The salad am not recommending as it was mostly green few bits of feta cheese 3 tomatoes 3 slice of radishes. Happy my fraind ordered the tuna nacose was delish. After all good service and beach view.

Seriously, if I could give this place a zero I would. First off, the place is not that great for atmosphere. People that give it a good review…yeah, they’re amateurs. Go to the Mai Tai bar…skip Dukes which is a hot mess as well. I can’t even begin to tell you how much better the drinks are at Mai Tai versus here. Better tasting…better alcohol…bartenders actually speak English? And they’re actually slightly more expensive at the Beach Bar too? I’ve had Mai Tais from all over Hawaii…the Sunset Moana Mai Tai from Beach Bar May be the worst I’ve ever had. I know it wasn’t in it, but it ‘tasted’ like there were bitters in it? !? I could barely drink this junk. Seriously guys…how do you have this good of a location and mess this up? And the Dole Whip? Wow, pretty bad too. AVOID.

There were not enough stars for the atmosphere nor for our server, Ken. He gave us wonderful suggestions. Ken was prompt and kept our glasses full. We ordered the garlic shrimp, steak, Poke bowl and mushroom poke. The portions were generous. The sauces were minimalist but perfect to portion. The food came extremely quick. The beach dining at sunset could not have been better. The cost was reasonable for the area. The only challenge, we were too full to try the desserts. Might need to make a stop again soon for some of that banana nut bread pudding!
