The Cosmic Kitchen reviews
17Amazing experience at the cosmic kitchen. The owner is so nice and friendly. The food is delicious and my non vegan friend loved the jackfruit sandwich. Everything is fresh and yummy. Outdoor seating is nice and refreshing. Definitely check it out.
Restaurant is located at back of the grocery store. It can also be accessed via alley next to the store.
Sandwich, juice, soup are very good; Healthy and great in taste. Highly recommended!
Parking:
Parking spots are limited in front of the shop. Additional parking is available in front of the community center opposite the store. They charge $5 in cash only.
Been coming here almost everyday for the last two weeks. If I lived here I’d be here everyday from here on out. Except for Monday because they’re closed but the store is open and that’s pretty awesome. I enjoyed the food the environment and the service. If you’re plant based or vegan this is the place to be.

I don't usually eat anything coconut but was intrigued with coconut bacon. It was actually delightful and gave me a bacon flavor and texture. I would get it again. Also, I appreciate having availability of vegan food. It's been tough to find vegan food, and it is better than decent.
Great take away sandwiches and smoothies - SO flavorful. Outdoor ambience always “in flux” because they allow customers to decorate outside wall with chalk! Parking at community center across street is free on weekends.
Amazing vegan food, probably on par with the best I’ve ever had. It’s kind of tucked away in the back of a market; I’m pretty sure you can order from an alleyway too. I 1000% recommend the breakfast, was feeling great after having it. Awesome staff too (with a great music playlist if you’re eating there).
AMAZING! This is the first solid vegan meal we’ve had on the island so far. We got the Kahula Jack and breakfast sandwich and they were so delicious. The food was perfect after a day at the beach. The location is just down the alleyway between the beet box and the store next to it.
Cute cafe, great vegan food, we had the BLT. 4/5 stars because it’s outrageous to charge an extra ¢50 for…cutting a sandwich in half. They should be served that way to begin with & definitely not an up-charge. Will be back.
It's surprisingly difficult to find good vegan food in O'ahu outside of Honolulu. But this is a great literal hole-in-the-wall joint for all you hungry vegans after a day on the beach, catching waves or shopping around town.
I got the vegan kalua bowl with jackfruit made as a half salad and half rice bowl. So good! Finally I get to try the Hawaiian bbq that everyone else gets to enjoy. I also got the special egg roll bowl which was unique and tasty.
I didn't know this location also had desserts but they do have a small daily selection. Seating is a little limited but I didn't see anyone else while I was waiting. Took about 12 minutes for both dishes to be made.
Finding the location is the hardest part. It's down an alleyway past a large bush between the Beet Box Cafe and the Celestial Grocery next door. I walked by a few times looking for signage but there isn't much of any.
So tasty! Love this vegan spot. Best sandwiches I’ve ever had! Our fav is the breakfast sandwich with mushroom sausage and dynamite aoli. Highly recommend everyone to try it out. Our non-vegan parents were also in love with the sandwich and said it’s the best they’ve ever had
The Kalua Jack has never disappointed! One of the most perfect sandwiches ever with the caramelized onions and sprouts and slaw and pineapple aioli + garlic aioli. I am excited to try the tuna melt and breakfast sando with the mushroom sausage.
Solid vegan food and friendly service, would have liked more jackfruit and more sauce in the bowl. Typical expensive Hawaii prices, we paid about $60 for 2 smoothies and 2 bowls. Hidden away on the side of the exit of the parking lot. Lots of parking! Our only complaint is there’s virtually no seating: only two 2-top tables.
I went here for the first time and was greeted so nicely and felt very welcomed! I couldn't make up my mind on what to order and I was kindly helped and recommended the Kaula Jack. It was amazing! I wanted another! Definitely coming back every time I visit Oahu.
Killer vegan stop on the North Shore. We had lunch here & got the tempeh sandwich & a great Greek salad. We also picked up some snacks for the road. Friendly staff & extremely laid back vibes.
Magical gem. Love the people that work hard to make this place so delicious. Couldn’t love it any more
I eat here almost every single day & still can’t get enough of it. Amazing staff & amazing food—what more could you want? I love that there’s always new specials to try out & that they use such incredibly fresh ingredients…you can taste the love in each bite. So happy to have this spot in Hale’iwa town!
LOVE Cosmic Kitchen! This place is a tiny hidden gem that serves up massive flavor. Everything is organic and vegan. YUM!
