Ate at Aloha Beer a few times. The food quality is inconsistent. It's like there's a different standard for whoever is cooking at the time. Portions are different each time as well.

Something wrong about lights in this bar. Makes everything so cheap.
Maybe better not to used those fake Mona Lisa decoration.

Excellent vibe, not your typical tourist filled spot. Stopped by after dinner, 10 min walk from SALT, don't be afraid of the dark walk at night. The bartender was excellent, Ben can whip up anything you desire. Just mention your favorite drink and the mood you're in. The place gives off a speakeasy feeling, akin to mainland East coast lux bars. Excellent drinks and a record player for your pleasure.

Quiet, classy and fun. Speakeasy in town above a great brewery. Just the thought that you can go local or relax in peace makes this a great place.

Great staff, vibe and cocktails in a secret hideaway. If I closed and then opened my eyes I would think I was in NOPO Portland.except for the neon of the Korean strip club and muffler shop reminding me I am in Kakaako, Dorothy.

Love this place! Really a 4.7 imo but way more than just a 4 star. The drink menu needs more expansion to get to that next level. The bartender is extremely knowledgeable and I feel like if he was let loose to create some drinks on his own, this place could be the next big thing in Hawaii’s mixology scene.
The food menu is the shining point compared to other mixology bars in the area. They really have an amazing food pairing to compliment their drink selection. My hands-down favorite is the beefsteak plate. You will not find a more tender and flavorful cut of beef for the price and value as they have here.

Hi Brau room is a really nice speakeasy located on top of aloha beer. Don't be fooled by the door as you can open it and walk in. The bartenders seem to really know how to make drinks as their cocktails are so fancily made. I recommend booking a reservation for groups larger than 4 as I saw many people get added to the waitlist since they didn't have a reservation prior. We came here on a Saturday night around 7 pm for two people and snagged the last spot at the bar. The food kitchen closes by 1045 pm and there are restrooms downstairs. Parking isn't that convenient so be prepared to walk a few blocks. Anyways highly recommend coming here for a quick drink, meetup with friends, or to celebrate!
