I have nothing but great things to say about The Ritz-Carlton Residences, Waikiki Beach! My stay exceeded all expectations. The Deluxe Ocean View Suite was spacious and clean with unobstructed views of the ocean, staff was super kind and helpful, pools were dreamy, and spa was lovely! I'm also a big fan of the location - there's plenty to see and do around the resort, and the beach is only a short walk away. Would stay here again and again!

I had an absolutely wonderful weekend at this beautiful hotel. My room on the 12th floor was incredible. Very well done room with a nice deck and ocean view, a kitchenette, a washer/dryer, spacious bathroom with a shower and tub, and a bed like a cloud. The staff on site were all amazing, and so welcoming. Had breakfast at La Vie, just off the lobby, and it was delicious. Dinner at Quiora, also on site, was the best with fresh pasta and local ingredients. Nice pool area with terrific views. Perfect location in central Waikiki, and a short walk to nice parks, shopping, and beaches. Probably the best hotel experience I have had, and I’ll be back here next time I’m in Honolulu.

My wife and I stayed here 5 nights for our honeymoon and we were disappointed by the Ritz Carlton. I highly reccomend if coming to Oahu you skip the Ritz Carlton and stay at the beach. There are alot of nice resorts at the beach that we should have stayed in. We find ourselves unable to find some food that is gluten free in this hotel. The dining options are very limited and seems like a hotel your only suppose to spend your nights in. During the day there is construction all day next door so instead of opening the door to the ocean I hear trucks and construction workers. We lived in the city and understand but it's just another reason to get a resort on the beach. For the high price of the rooms we were really expecting a different experience with the Ritz Carlton. We had a very different experience at the Ritz Carlton on Maui, much much better. The elevators are always jammed at this location and I highly reccomend staying away from this location. House cleaning for the love of goodness put a bed sheet on the matress. It not sanitary to have no mattress cover.

This was my first time visiting Oahu and staying in the heart of Waikiki Beach at the Ritz Carlton made my stay so incredibly special. Everything from the hotel's central location to the spectacular views, delicious food and attentive, thoughtful service was fantastic.

I ordered room service every morning and enjoyed breakfast from my private balcony overlooking the ocean as boats sailed by. I loved spending time at the rooftop pools and looked forward to seeing what flavor the friendly pool staff would be serving up from the ice cream cart each afternoon. One of the highlights of my stay was an outstanding spa treatment. I chose the Endless Escape which was a full body massage using CBD oil and really helped me unwind after a long flight from NYC. Two more experiences I must mention were the fantastic five star meal at La Vie and the coffee and snack options at Dean & Deluca (I felt nostalgic for the days of Dean & Deluca in New York and it made me feel at home).

I am eagerly awaiting my return trip to the Ritz Carlton Residences Waikiki Beach and would gladly recommend this hotel to any friends or family traveling to Oahu.

Living on Maui, this is hands down my favorite hotel to stay at on any Island. The accommodations and service are far above anything else on any of the islands. The location is great for shopping and dining. It's my favorite weekend escape.

Hated my stay here and thought it was a huge waste of money.

Room look and amenities similar to a Hilton. View of construction and noise of traffic. Only one bellhop delivered my doordash to my room the rest kept my orders in a back closet. I booked four nights, and then i saw online it you book 5 you get 15% off. I asked to add an extra night to my stay to get the discount, and no one would help me to get the discount.

Adult pool was one of the saddest ive ever seen. I paid for a cabana and left after two hours. Deeply regret my choice in staying here.

This is the fourth time I have stayed at Ritz-Carlton Waikiki within the past year and I cannot regret more about this decision. The quality of the service has SIGNIFINATLY dropped. This time I am staying here for FIVE nights and I am currently on the 3rd night and I can’t wait to check out.

First of all, on the day when I checked in, there was ONLY ONE person at front desk who was helping guests check in. Which 5-star hotel only has one person at the front desk at 5pm of a day? There was a line for check in and then more people started to come out of their room behind the front desk to help. I booked my stay via American Express FH&R and thus I am eligible for a room upgrade. They did “upgrade” my room and what they upgraded was just to a room with a relatively bigger size. They told me it is a corner room and when I entered the room. I knew I hated the minute I walked in. The room has a weird layout and no pool view at all and has all “city” view (just ugly roofs of all the short buildings nearby). I called front desk immediately and asked whether I can change the room. They told me they would call me back in 10-15 minutes. I was just waiting for them to call back in the room without unpacking or having anything to drink or eat after a 6-hour flight. 20 minutes later I still didn’t receive a call and had to call them again. Unfortunately, no other room available at the night.

Secondly, it is SUPER hard to call front desk. Every day I call front desk/housekeeping from my room to request room to be cleaned or ask for water. I ALWAYS have to call at least 5 times and today I had to call 10 times to have my call being picked up. When I run into front desk there is always someone there and I am so confused why no one answered the call. Today when my call finally went through, I asked them why it was this hard to have my call come through. All I heard was “I am sorry, what can I help with? ” Are you really sorry? We paid $500/night to stay here and have to call 5+ times to speak to front desk? Seriously? You do know your job is to serve the guests, correct?

If this is the kind of service you are looking for in a 5-star hotel, feel free to stay here.

This was our very first stay at Ritz Carlton and what an experience. Beautiful suite with mesmerizing views of the beach and it has a seperate adult and family pool. Staff is super friendly and kind, they attend to your needs without blinking an eye and go over and beyond to make you stay comfortable. I had the opportunity to know Jordan Basuil (Pool recreation staff) and because of him we had a spectacular birthday celebration for my hubby. He arranged a pool cabana for my hubby's birthday even though he was not working for the hours we were there. He made sure that we were taken care of when we arrive at the pool and get full experience. He also took the initiative of booking the dinner table at one of the finest restaurants at the Hotel "La Vie" for us. Words don't do justice to the kind of service we received here. I am definitely going back and staying at Ritz, they just spoiled us with their service.

I will start with saying that I have traveled the world. It was a relatively short vacation but what I want to say now sitting at the balcony on the 17th floor of the Diamond Head Tower of Ritz Carlton, facing the ocean, with my wife and two kids: this was the best vacation we have ever had. The hotel, the service, the room are just the best, nothing to add.but also the island, the beaches! We rented a car, went to Kailua Beach a couple of times, shopped groceries/eat at Whole Foods (also, definitely recommended), swam in the incredible ocean, walked everywhere, etc. The hotel is not cheap, but it is sooo much worth it. We enjoyed our time and life here so much, because the Ritz Carlton made such a great foundation for such an incredible vacation! THE BEST!

Amazing. Easily the highly of our stay, and that’s coming from the Disney Aulani Resort. Bell hops were quick to help us with our bags and lei’d us as they sent us up to the lobby. The woman at the front desk, Yolana, was very kind and helpful. She even sent champagne up to our room after hearing we were celebrating our honeymoon. The room itself was amazing and even has a washer dryer. The sunset from our ocean view room was spectacular. In room dining was pricey, but it was delicious and delivered quickly. If you want to save a buck, there’s an Island Country Store right downstairs. We can’t wait to come back and stay longer. Mahalo, Yolana and Ritz-Carlton Waikiki!

When first booking I was a little hesitant because it wasn't directly on the beach and was one of the higher priced hotels in Waikiki. I was wrong about wanting to stay on the beach! The Ritz location is amazing, convenient and easy walk to beach, restaurants that I was happy I made the choice to stay there. Service was excellent, rooms were clean and the 24 hour pool was great. Rooms are very spacious and I had a balcony that overlooks the ocean. Ate breakfast at the restaurant behind the adult pool a couple times, tried the Sushi Sho take out and everything was tasty. The one thing about the rooms I didn't like was the bed, it was two double beds out together, and I would've preferred one long size bed instead for more comfort. The staff did everything to make my stay enjoyable. Aiko from concierge helped me daily from finding a shuttle to go golfing to helping me make reservations at restaurants. Richard the bellman was also great on showing me how to use everything in the room when he brought my luggage up and made sure I had plenty of waters during my stay. Would definitely recommend this hotel to others.
