2 My husband and I absolutely loved our stay at the Royal Hawaiian. You can’t ask for a better location - it’s right on the beach and walking distance to a beautiful, upscale shopping area with plenty of restaurant options (of all price ranges) to choose from.
We booked through AMEX and were upgraded to a partial ocean view room in the historic part of the hotel. The room was beautiful and sparkling clean. We had read reviews that the bathrooms were on the smaller side, but we felt like ours had plenty of space.
The service was exceptional. From check-in to housekeeping to beachside dining - everyone we encountered was warm, friendly and kind.
We hope to be back one day!
I almost didn’t book this hotel because of the lack of in room dining. The views make up for all the negatives of the hotel. I hated that I didn’t like any of the resort fee opportunities. The views and the warm greetings from staff made it feel 5 star. Wrist bands to get into room are a cute feature.
