My family had such a wonderful time here. Just a perfect experience. Beautiful and well run resort. We would love to visit again!

It is clear the management doesn’t care about customers. Room had a broken safe, clogged sink, toilet that runs. The staff at the pool told us we couldn’t sit by the pool in common area because the seats were reserved. Don’t know how I was suppose to know that given how few seats they have around the adult pool. The bar didn’t have most of the food on the menu Monday night, the staff told us the chef decided not to make the items on the menu. This hotel needs a new general manager who cares about the customer. Don’t stay at this hotel if you want a good experience on the big island.

We recently stayed here the 2nd week of January for the 2nd time. This place is absolutely incredible. The views are beautiful and prob the best views I’ve even seen. We saw whales daily and it was so cool. The staff is always so nice and friendly. Balcony views from above the 6th floors are unbelievable. I could’ve sat there all day. The waves are bigger in the winter, so it was red flag days in the ocean most days, but there’s nothing you can do about that. Just know snorkeling may not be a possibility. Would definitely recommend!

A beautiful destination and resort. The people here are fantastic and very friendly. If you’re looking for a quiet location and family friendly destination I recommend the Westin. The breakfast buffet was a family favorite as well as the opportunity to feed the fish in the koi pond.

We enjoyed our honeymoon very very much here. We loved the ocean view in our room and we were very relaxed during our stay. The beach and the pools are awesome and the sand is great. Everything was very romantic. Many thanks to the friendliest staff at the hotel. Huge shout out to Randy, he was extra caring for us honeymooners:) thank you Westin Hapuna

Went to this hotel on a work trip/work conference and it was more than we could’ve imagined! Such a beautiful place, perfect beaches, amazing food, and such nice people. They were very accommodating to our group as well! Definitely coming back in the future!

I was so lucky my wife booked this for our anniversary. One of the nicest hotels I’ve ever been in with a truly great staff. The beach is spectacular!
Special thanks for the gift from the hotel as it was also my birthday and they delivered cake, a couple of beers and chips and salsa as a surprise. I would stay here again in an instant!

This was our first stop and after staying at most of the resorts on the island I have to say it was by far my favorite and I'll be ending my trip there again because I loved it so much. Amazing views. Amazing beach. Loved it

Gorgeous hotel with great service, but a little isolated for us.

This was our first stay on The Big Island-we usually visit Maui-and to be honest we found the island fun, but everything is so far away from each other. We felt like each resort on the west side of the island were isolated outposts on the moon. You could stay in the Waikoloa Resort⁩⁦ area and have a few more shops and condos within walking distance. But you definitely need a car to get around the island.

We did one daytrip through Waimea to the more lush east side of the island. Although the drive was scenic, the locals in Honokaa and Paauhau did not give off a very tourist-friendly vibe. We did not feel unsafe, but nor did we feel welcome.

Thank goodness the hotel was so comfortable, it made up for the barren landscape and lack of attractions within walking distance. We don't golf but enjoy the beach and the shops. Luckily, we managed to enjoy the beach our first week because one night the rain split the beach in two and it was closed for the remaining five days of our stay with signs saying "dangerous currents".

We enjoyed our stay and do not regret the visit, but we have learned that we are definitely Maui people and will happily tolerate the traffic to get back to the beautiful Ka'anapali.

Its on Hapuna Beach. That was our favorite part. Other than that, the service was poor, and food ordered theough room service from one of the restaurants was poor as well. We tried to check in for a meal to see if that would be different, but were told to come back in an hour, so we ultimately just skipped dinner. Food in the grab and go section was terrible as well.

Management of the hotel and valet area are particularly poor. Our rental car was hit in the chaotic area while waiting for valet to show up and no assistance was offered to mitigate the scenario by staff. Instant vibe killer while trying to enjoy vacation. Upon complaint to a "manager", we were directed to security which didn't offer any assistance or accountability either. Simply filed an incident report. We ultimately checked out an evening early as the hotel wasn't good enough to stay at while we had accommodations elsewhere. No refund was offered, until I raised a little Cain- but even then it was partial and paltry compared to the invoice. They acted like it was our problem we didn't have a good time.

Not worth the trouble as you are quite far from other eating options, you don't want to move your car around much there, and the staff/service isn't hospitable. It's a resort with ocean views. You're in Hawaii.plenty of resorts with ocean views. I wish we hadn't even booked the place as it was a literal drain when it should have been a pleasure. Do yourself, your sig other, and your family a favor and stay somewhere else.

Great hotel. Modern. Recently updated. Friendly staff. Pools (both adult and kids pool) are awesome. And the beach is the best in the world. Nothing better.

Beautiful resort however let's face the only way to stay here is if you have money. Everything is over price I recommend renting a car and visit local restaurants the food at this resort lacks in flavor same with the mix drinks.

I just stayed at the Westin for a friend's wedding. Very beautiful place. A thing of note, however, I had a "king" bed.when I laid across it I realized how wrong that was. I am 5'8 and could see the floor with my toes over the other edge. A quick Google search shows that a king bed is 6'4 wide so the hotel is using queen sized beds and calling them a King. The reason this was an issue for me was that I had myself my wife and my 2 year old child staying there. We intended on having our child sleep between us to keep him from falling off the bed, which was not really feasible with the smaller sized bed. I talked to the receptionist and they allowed me to look at a double queen room which those beds were in deed smaller (likely a full, they were shorter and narrower). After that the receptionist sent a rollaway bed to our room at no additional cost, which was very nice and accommodating, however normally they charge 50 a night for that rollaway. And our room was listed as a partial ocean view but I could not see the ocean without going out into the patio area, we were on the 5th floor, a room on the 6th floor could easily see. The view was not a big deal as we didn't really spend a ton of time hanging out in the room.
