Dr. NAKSGAWA is very informative. I am a diabetic, and he knew what test need to be done what to look for. I can see much better with the prescription he gave me. Really like that he answered all my questions and understood my concerns.

Dr Nakagawa took the time to explain to me the many options and discuss estimated costs vs beneftis of each option with me. Great care and very thorough exam.

This office and service is top notch. Our entire family of 4 (husband, wife, 15 year old and 12 year old) just started seeing Dr. Nakagawa. The staff is helpful and friendly. I’ve never met such a caring doctor in any profession that takes his job seriously and is always looking out for his patients. We love this place.

I want to preface this by saying that everyone in the office is kind and respectful. My issues below were all resolved, but I'm left untrusting and not wanting to return.
I went in for my first appointment several months ago. I was told my prescription and I chose not to order that day. I was not given a written script, but planned to return to order anyway.
Last week I tried to order my glasses online, and the company contacted the office. I was alerted that the office never responded to them. I called the office and left a message, but didn't hear back until I called again several days later.
My order was cancelled, but the office sent me my script through email the next week. It was 3 levels stronger per eye than I had been told in person. I contacted them again, and asked that I be put in for an complimentary appointment to confirm the script since it was so far off from what I had been told.
They graciously got me in, and I was told that my script is what I had expected it to be from my last appt.
I ordered my contacts and left feeling better that I hadn't ordered the wrong prescription.

Dr. Todd Nakagawa is excellent. He patiently explains important information well. I highly recommend him.

However, his staff sometimes doesn't give precise details. When I was done with my eye check up, the front desk mentioned that she will print my receipt several times. When I was done paying, I was asking for my receipt, she said she will just email it. Also, I always get a call whenever my contacts are ready for pick up but this time, I knew it through email. Good thing I check my email regularly.

I also got the Cooper Vision Promotion. I wish the front desk mentioned the documents needed beforehand before I started the process to claim the discount. I called them if they can email me the required documents, the lady who answered the phone she can't do it. I'm a bit disappointed with this process.

I am a tourist here in the Kapolei area who, to my horror, realized when I arrived on Sunday 3/19/23, that I had failed to pack daily disposable contacts for my left eye! I have a monovision correction so my right and left eyes are significantly different powers! Both eyes are corrected for extreme nearsightedness.
I called Dr. Nakagawa’s office first thing on Monday morning and explained my predicament to the kind and caring receptionist who answered. After I emailed a screenshot of my prescription to their office, she called me back within the hour to let me know they had samples of my hard-to-find prescription and I was welcome to come by and pick them up. I thanked her profusely and offered to pay them for the samples. She said Dr. Nakagawa was happy to help and there was no charge!
Many thanks to this generous and kind doctor and his staff for saving my holiday on this lovely island! If ever I need care here or am lucky enough to live here one day, I will gladly use them for all my eye care needs! I can’t recommend them enough!

Dr. Todd Nakagawa and his staff are the best my family and I have ever come across. Excellent customer service, friendly and attentive. They also had a great selection of prescription glasses to select from.
