Tori Ton reviews
20Looking for a cozy place to have some drinks, delicious foods, and great company? Tori Ton is the place to be! Though capacity may be a bit small, it makes up for it with it's authentic foods and charming atmosphere.
I went without a reservation but luckily got seated right away. I loved everything especially their gizzard and heart yakitoris. Trust me, they’re goood! This spot reminded me of Japan
Reservations are highly recommended. This place is a very cute and cosy Japanese restaurant. They have small portion so you can try everything. This restaurant has a lively atmosphere.
I love coming here, best Yakitori in Hawaii! Great customer service, real Nippon chefs and staff. The food was authentic and delicious!
A small but mighty izakaya restaurant. Definitely recommend calling and making reservations before hand. They do have outdoor seating and there is a parking lot here.
Just order whatever you want. It's all good. It'll be harder if you have a larger group but it's not impossible.
Yummy!
Two yakitori spots opened in Honolulu this year, one more budget-friendly and the other a notch fancier. Tori Ton is the former. Situated at the entrance of Old Stadium Mall, it’s cozy, warm, and low-key. Keep an eye out for the smoky bacon-wrapped skewers (especially the one wrapped around rice and served with a raw egg yolk for dipping) and the variety of kamameshi (rice cooked in iron pots). Order the kamameshi right away, as they take 20 to 30 minutes.
My first time here. The food was delicious. The service did slow a bit when it got packed inside and it definitely did after 7pm on a week night. The only issue at this location is the parking. There are multiple signs in the lot that say 20 min parking and 1 hr parking. Best to street park.
Everytime I visit Honolulu, I have Tori Ton on my MUST do list. Service is always great and the food is awesome!
Prepare to have foodgasm!
Very authentic food! Best Japanese food I have tried in Hawaii. The flavor is impressive, and they are not pricy. You can’t miss it!
Mediocre food. The skewers are not impressive at all. The sauce is very salty and not very hot. But the chicken skewer’s taste is bland. The fried tofu is not tasty at all. Salty. And 50% more expensive than the fried tofu we got in another place and a lot worse. The service is not attentive at all. The server doesn’t come to let us order food. Didn’t give us water until we ask.
Great food, great atmosphere, we ordered around a dozen skewers, got them pretty quickly, authentic Japanese
Service and Atmosphere was amazing. On par with a nice Izakaya.
The main issue was the food. The skewers are neither charred enough nor hot enough. The liver was dry, the tsukune was flavourless, and everything else did not meet expectations.
Amazing food, authentic and reasonably priced! The place is small so be sure to get a reservation first. The service is friendly and we love the vibe. Some of the best yakitori I had recently! Would love to come back again.
The female receptionist here is very rude and disgusting, we arrived at 8: 40 and there were a lot of empty tables and she said they were booked, so we waited until 9: 20 and there were still a lot of empty tables, and the people who booked the tables still didn't show up, but she still didn't arrange a table for us, and she clearly said that the people who didn't show up after 9: 15 could arrange us, and I think she was racist, Very rude
This restaurant is racism to CHINESE PEOPLE! We arrived at our reservation time, they had empty tables inside. But they didn’t allow us to sit, asked us to wait and said there’s no table ready.
I saw some negative comments towards the waitress, but the waitress who has many piercings is actually very kind and nice. We mixed up this restaurant with another one, the waitress helped us with kindness and patience. Friends, this restaurant is by no means discriminatory against China people.
Worst food and worst services. Especially service are worst trying to ignore you. Other clients also cut in line. Avoid this place!
My favorite yakitori spot on the island. The stuff is so so friendly and the food is beyond tasty! We love the large meatball (with egg yolk) and the chicken thigh so much! Will come back a million times ;)
Avoid this place in any effort you can! This is the worst restaurant by far in Hawaii. We saw online it is available to come in and we call twice. We pay for Uber and waited for so long. 2 clients cut in line and they were seated. And we were told no more seat available! Such a waste of time and money. No apology and explanation, not even a greeting at all. - i don't see why the owner below are arguing? Don't you understand any of my word? I am not saying we book online, we call TWICE, we PAY for Uber and we were told no space. So ridiculous.
Our favorite place, never disappoints. Every single dish we had was delicious and perfectly executed. Refreshing Yuzu beer, yummy yakitori and warm oden on rainy days. Always accommodating and kind.
