Ordered donburi, sukiyaki and a Nobeyaki near the end of day.
The service and atmosphere was top rate. However, the taste and presentation of the food was mediocre for an average restaurant and appalling for a 4 star restaurant. Nobeyaki broth was bland. The donburi rice was cold. The large sukiyaki was presented in a large bowl that was half full. If you want service, atmosphere and a free photo, come here. If you want great tasting food, there are many other restaurants in Waikiki,

Excellent food and portion sizes. Good service and I will be stopping by again for more. I would recommend.

Got a roll and an udon, both tasted good. The blue Hawaiian was delicious. Service was great

My family and I had a great experience here. Everything was cooked to perfection, & the staff were wonderful. My favorite dish is the Unagi don. It was soft, yet so flavorful. Would love to visit again.

This place has zero taste. I thought a $28 bowl of Udon was going to be amazing but nope. Seriously, zero taste.

This was a very pleasant experience. My first time hear and i love udon. Flavoring of base was awesome. I went for lunch and we went as a group, Our server was pleasant and attentive, food came out quick and ready to eat. Menu was good as you have a variety of selections. The lunch menu has 2 prices kamaaina and regular which is good that they tend to locals and not just tourists. Atmosphere was nice and enjoyable. This is located on the top floor of the Royal Hawaiian Center in waikiki. Great place to check out.portion size is good. The large bowl is bigger than a ever

Great noodles. Best overall in Waikiki. Literally went here everyday we could sometimes twice in a day with my fiancé. Every udon flavor has been a banger. Sizzling sukiyaki is top IMO. I’m pretty sure the staff were thinking “theses mfers are always here” but the staff is great. Sushi, noodles, drinks are all here.

Taurutonton was one of my favourite restaurant, so I was really excited when I found out they had a store in Waikiki! While the food is fine, the whole dining experience was terrible! The lady who served us kept rushing us from the beginning to the end! We felt extremely uncomfortable and they even took away our food without confirming if we were done. If there was a huge line up of people waiting outside, I could possible get why they do that! But there was no one and there were many empty tables in the restaurant too! I think management needs to re-train the staffs to make customers feel welcome!

Good amount of serving for the bento box lunch special. Not bad prices for happy hour and flavor was on point.

Zane served us quickly, accurately and with enthusiasm. The food here was a great value/ big portions (!). Highly recommend the happy hour.

Very clean inside!

A few people recommended this place for udon. It was very mediocre. My husband ordered one with tempura & thin noodles. His noodles were SO soggy and the tempura they threw in obviously went soggy as well. The broth and udon was very basic. Nothing special. If you’ve been to RAKU in nyc or toronto, it is muchhhh better.

I would never come back here.
