Ululani's Hawaiian Shave Ice reviews
15The BEST shave ice I’ve had. The texture is literally softer than snow. I loved the sunset and no ka oi. The spicy mango flavor was also good! Always recommend a snow cap and Mac nut ice cream center, changes the game.
I’d call this the best Shave Ice place in Maui. The best I’ve ever had! I tried No ka ‘Oi (Passion fruit, Coconut and Mango) with a Macadamia nut base cream which was out of the world. They have multiple branches and is a must try for Maui-an tourists. I’ve been visiting Ululani’s everyday during my stay here.
This is the best Ululani’s on Maui! They have the best variety of ice cream flavors and all the merch. Also, the staff is the nicest and the most friendly. Love this shave ice so much. I usually get it with ice cream (coconut this time) and the green tea syrup is actually pretty great. Mango and passion fruit are some of my faves.
Only shave ice I had on Maui but it was fantastic! Only other comparable shave ice I had was Matsumoto in Haleiwa, Oahu.service was fast and the quality of the shave ice was very unique and perfect for the treat. I order the ka na oi or simple “the best” premade shave ice and felt it was fantastic would 100% recommend and come back to. I wish I knew of the Lahaina location cause I would’ve got one there as well.
Still one of my favorite shaved ice places, in the world. They have natural juices for their syrup and their toppings are more delicious. Definitely a higher price point against competitors who are offering the same but they have very lovely service especially at the Lahaina location.
Review from my 7 years old: when I put the spoon in my mouth, all the taste fills my mouth with love. The tropical flavors are the best.
Truly the best and served with a smile. If your a traveler, you’ll think about shave ice days and months after you get back home.
I had to find out what the hype was about, and now I know. This was the most refreshingly delicious dessert that looks so unassuming. You get to pick a base (azuki beans or ice cream for $2 extra), up to 3 flavors of shaved ice (layered or not), and toppings (for extra $). We got the smallest size and it came out to about $8. There are so many flavor options to choose from to make hundreds of different shaved ice combos. Let me tell you about my magnificent concoction: macadamia nut ice cream base with ube, coconut, and lychee shaved ice (not layered). Trust me, try it! You're welcome!
Staff were great. The shaved ice was average, flavours became diluted about halfway through the cup and was essentially eating plain ice towards the end. The consistency of the shaved ice, however, was very good as it was nice and soft.
The wait for what you get and the price is a little extreme. We waited for about 10 minutes for two shave ice, but the quality was amazing! The ice was somehow… soft! You get quite a large portion as well. Only complaint about the shave ice is that mine was completely soaked through to the point where it was just slightly too sweet right from the start. Overall great shave ice and you can get quite a lot, the wait is just long and it’s a little pricy.
So delicious! They even have sugar free syrups and a dairy free cream. It’s such a treat to have options when you have tricky food allergies!
Absolute best shaved ice on the island. Try the coconut flavor it was so creamy, I have never had coconut in this form.
The shaved ice was okay, but I’ve had better on the island. The store is run by young adults and 2-3 were consistently standing around while the line was out the door. Also, the prices run on the high end of the range.
Always says open on maps or online itself and arrive and closed…. All over the island too smh
