United States Postal Service, Hilo HI

I normally don't post negative reviews but after such a long and distressing process with no amends or closure, I feel it's the only thing to do to inform others. This USPS has stolen not one, but two of my partner and I's packages and we are now forced to find other options to receive our mail all while still paying for this horrible service. Their suggestion is to request replacements/refunds from the company from which our packages were purchased, which leads me to believe they have done this for a long time, to others, and ultimately this is how they handle situations in which their employees have stolen. It is unfortunate that no one holds any responsibility here, even the many managers don't hold their employees accountable or make things right with their customers.

Mind you that your packages are going to get stolen by USPS employees here and no one in this office seems to care.

A crew in this office has stolen my expensive small package. They don’t care to search for it. Manager didn’t show up at the counter after my request. No one picks up the office phone or be responsible to answer my questions. Need to call cops to file for a theft. Sooo unfortunate…

One thing a machine cant do is awnser question! Went to process my important letter at the airport location. They leave most mailboxes open and unlocked in my apartment complex. As many times as I've placed reports and requested they close abd lock the mailboxes they've said it isn't their problem or responsibility. The postal carriers are negligent at best, which is a reason many people are fired. Too bad we are forced to pay them out of our taxes, I'd rather that money go to the honest and hard working UPS employees. Even FedEx would be acceptable. I don't understand why the USPS has ZERO accountability. This has been going on for months, dozens of times. This is not my first time mentioning it. I've spent hours on the phone trying to have these issues resolved, but it is clear that the USPS isn't actually expected to perform their job functions properly when they are outside of the office.edit: he didn't lock yhe apartment boxes again, about a dozen tenants have boxes hanging open or are in the unlocked position. The mailman on our route does not know how to perform his job, or knows and is negligent. This has been happening on a regular basis over the past few months.

Were here on a weekday around 9 and they were really helpful and kind. Not too much waiting this time of day either.
