Wailua River State Park reviews
14The best. Waterfall is breathtaking. River is clear and clean. Hike to the falls is beautiful. Can be slightly technical at points. Not recommend for elderly visitors
We hiked down here looking for Secret Falls, which sounds accessible by kayak or boat. We still had a great time and got a nice workout in! Don't forget to check out the other local waterfalls nearby. This area is such a gem.
As if the entirety of Kaua'i
Enjoy
Pretty cool place to visit right off the main road. Take the stairs to the top. There you will find an old Asian cemetery. Pretty views of the river below, too.
If you prefer driving to hiking- this is for you. A few great places to stop and look at. There are some picnic tables to have a quick snack.
Easy access to a beautiful sight right off the road. Plenty of parking! Check it out beautiful spot.
A beautiful gem in the middle of a tropical paradise. You don't want to miss seeing it up close!
Aloha, nature enthusiasts! I recently had the pleasure of exploring the beautiful Wailua River State Park in Kapa'a, Hawaii, and let me tell ya, it was an absolute paradise. The park is a true gem, with lush greenery, majestic waterfalls, and the serene Wailua River flowing through it all. The hiking trails offered breathtaking views of the surrounding landscapes, and the peacefulness of the park made it the perfect escape from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Whether you're looking for a leisurely stroll, a challenging hike, or a peaceful picnic spot, Wailua River State Park has it all. Don't forget your camera to capture the beauty of this Hawaiian treasure!
So beautiful, breath taking viewes. Would not want to drive along these roads in the rain.
We took the Fern Grotto boat tour. Interesting but not worth the price. A short trip to a grotto, not much else.
Gorgeous river view and awesome waterfalls. Quick day trip (40 mins) from Lihue to the end of the forest. A ton of chickens along the route
Fun fun fun! Muscle aching and breaking kayaking, followed by a hike in mud and muck. And then a blissful shower under the waterfall- this was an adventure that I really loved and would redo any time. Must do in Kauai
We launched our kayak here that we rented for the day from Wailua Kayak Adventures, and it was an easy launch. Then we rowed up the river a couple of miles and got off to do the Waterfall hike (muddy). What beautiful sights we saw, including an array of birds and ducks. An experience of a lifetime!
Beatiful and a great place to buy the best banana bread on the island. Recommend by our tour guide.
Calm river to kayak. Dint do the tour. They rush you! No time to relax and it's not a leisurely guided tour.
