12This is a good place to visit to show respect to the many men and women who died here protecting and serving America.
Humbling and peaceful. Somber experience. Proud to be an America and truly thankful for every soldier.
Amazing memorial that you absolutely must visit! What a beautiful way to memorialize the folks that lost their lives in defense of our freedoms. The memorial is beautiful and serene and it was a true honor to be able to visit!
A must go if you go to Oahu. The history and experience is solemn but a great reminder of what we should be thankful for.
So amazing to see the actual place I've heard so much about. Looking out over the Wai'anae range and imagining the Japanese fighters heading east towards you, then looking down at Battleship Alley and imagining the destruction that must've been so terrible to see. Very powerful and moving. The display of lost submarines was poignant and striking.
The sad part was seeing nonchalant tourists more interested in the ice cream and gift shop, without so much as a thought about how many people lost their lives in this attack and the war.
In memory of the Marines who died in the Pearl Harbor attack in the USA.
Very beautiful place
Understandably, the atmosphere is pretty somber and heavy. If you’re visiting with children I’d recommend talking to them first and giving them age-appropriate/maturity level-based explanations of what they’re going to see and hear.
We Island hopped to Honolulu for the day & I underestimated this stop but was glad this was on our itinerary
An amazing tribute to the 1,177 young men that are still entombed in the ship. A very moving experience but I was honoured to pay my respects. RIP men.
Amazing Monument to the brave souls that lived & died for their country. May God bless their souls.
Interesting stories about submarines.we couldn't get tickets to see the Arizona memorial but the plaza was nice to see and the anchor was memorable.
