Wilcox Medical Center, Lihue HI

I arrived with my wife on Kauai on 10.15.2022 to celebrate our 24th anniversary the next day. I woke up with a mild stomach ache that got progressively worse through the day that by Tuesday noon we headed to the ER. The folks at Wilson were great, ran the necessary test to diagnose the problem with recommended course of action. I was admitted, had addition tests, I clearly understand the situation, how to manage it and the actions I need to take for my longterm health. They truly live up to their mission statement, Wilcox Memorial Hospital is a nonprofit hospital whose mission is to serve the Kaua'i community with accessible, quality health care that surpasses expectations. Our values are focused on service, integrity, collaboration, community, innovation, compassion and excellence for all patients we serve.

Killed two people in one night i was there, staff is careless with their patients and heartless to the families of the patients

My second day on Kauai, I had a severe migraine attack and had to go to the hospital. I cannot say enough about Dr. Erik Schumacher and the rest of the staff that took such excellent care of me on 5/18/22. I greatly appreciate it while such a long way from home and while on vacation. Although it was not what I planned. LOL. They even called me a taxi to take me back to the condo I was staying at. Mahalo is not enough.

We were there exactly 25 minutes for a CT and lab work. Impressive! Randall, the CT tech, was especially nice and explained what would happen next.

Gotta get this staff to the mainland to teach our hospitals there how to properly run a medical facility.

It just cant get better because WILCOX HOSPITAL is the absolute best. Why? Its the people. They are all Angels.

While vacationing in Kauai I had an accident that required emergency surgery. My options were to try to fly home with a broken knee or have surgery at Wilcox. I chose to stay and have Dr. Judd preform they needed surgery. Without exception the hospital and staff were amazing. Compared to the care we get using our Kaiser Permanente, this hospital staff blows them away. I would strongly recommend this facility, it’s doctors, nurses and staff if the need arises for healthcare. Thank you to everybody at Wilcox!

I had a three day say at Wilcox while on vacation in Kauai. The staff and facilities were wonderful, and I can't say enough positive things about my stay while there. I was well taken care of and would highly recommend.

I went to ER for a deep cut. Staff here were friendly and attentive. Dr. Amitai and the nurses were superb with my stitches. Thank you.

The gastro dep will not alow me to meet dr and the manager will not. Follow the law he keep violation of my hyppa rights

What's the point of MyChart when the Wilcox doesn't even read it? I had made appointments 5 times and nobody has ever read them.

The staff are great, however I would avoid this hospital at all cost I would rather be sick then to go over to this hospital ever again

I had to be cardioverted at the Wilcox ER as I was in AF. The staff were very professional and I was seen straight away (7am on a Friday). Dr Conrad and is team are highly capable. I get exercise induced AF and I have been to a number of facilities to be brought back to sinus rhythm - the team here were absolutely top notch. I was impressed with the Dr Conrad’s knowledge of cardiology and emergency cardioversion.
