Young's Fish Market reviews
28 It is always great. Even with the social distancing & asking for cooperation in wearing a mask.the lines move. I am so happy they are operating well. They are grateful to the patronage of locals that keep them afloat. I am grateful for their efforts in servicing the public
Now lets talk about the food. The fish lau lau and pork lau lau delicious as usual. They were out of poi.das ok, rice was to perfection. I hate soft mushy rice.real picky actually but not Youngs. Pipikaula, sweet potato and ofcourse, lomi salmon perrrfect. I also bought roast pork, kulolo and haupia. I was on my way home with a huge smile on my face. The food was cooked to perfection which resulted in, as always, deliciousness. YUMMERZ! Mahalo Youngs Fish Market for sticking it out during this crazy time. ️
The staff is friendly, but some of the pros are over priced. Still, support local because their food is still pretty good.
This place serves excellent Beef Stew, Roasted Pork and Laulau. Staff are always friendly. They also have a rewards program for free food!
Was going to order a Hawaiian plate but it was almost $20. Little to expensive for Hawaiian food! Especially in this pandemic.
Always have quality Hawaiian dishes and added to that was the points system you accumulate to get a free laulau after purchasing so much. Parking maybe limited and the lines to order took some time due to social distancing. Mahalo
Friday, my husband and i bought laulau plate lunches. I opened my box to find that my laulau wasn’t cooked all the way. Leaves wasn’t even melted. I could peel each leaf. So disappointed in everything we bought. Squid luau had no taste, tripe stew had no taste, my laulau wasn’t cooked. I enjoyed the lomi & sweet potato. That was my dinner. I gave 1 star because i couldn’t see in the glass case & food was terrible.
Awesome flavors and unique takes on Hawaiian classics. I ordered the butterfish laulau and chicken long rice. The chicken long rice was packed with flavor, as was the laulau. My only issue with the laulau was that the fish still had a few bones, but it was worth how delicious everything tasted.
The food is so good that is why they are known as the best! Kalua pork was perfect and the laulau was so good I almost lost my mind and the poi was so good even though I'm picky about which poi I like everything was beyond satisfaction per usual!
Great customer service and fantastic tasting Hawaiian Kalua pig plates and laulaus! Go early.they have Poke bowls! Yummy, yummy for mt tummy!
Customer service is not the best especially if its your first time and not quite sure how to order. Food is good not great.
Food is ok service is kinda fast. How can a Hawaiian food place don't have poi only rice. That was disappointing.
Our number place for Hawaiian Food, we luv their Lau Lau, Kalua Pig, Long Rice, Poi, Boiled Peanuts, && can't forget about the raw Onions, yummy for our tummies! My Hubby also enjoys their Poke too.
A little on the pricey side but food is good. Big portions. No longer live on Oahu but every time I visit, first place I go to.
We're here when we want take out Hawaiian food or when we're going to visit family in Henderson NV! Soooo ONO and everyone's so nice! Maybe we'll get some Hawaiian tomorrow.
Love the food. But the dine-in area could use an upgrade with the holes in the seats and all. Other than that, it was good.
The docent at The Mission House Museum recommended Young's. It's a bustling local eatery outside of the tourist zone. The laulau and poi were excellent.
Kalua pig, Great. Lau Lau, even better. Good fast food and service, at reasonable pricing and big portions. It always tastes amazing and the service is always spot on. If your in Kalihi, you'll definitely wanna swing by. If you're craving some good, cheap Hawaiian food but not nearby, MAKE THE TRIP it's one of those places that's not too popular but definitely should be. We're at least monthly if not twice a month visitors.
Real awesome Hawaiian food and a bit of a throwback to the old days as well, been going there for years and never been disappointed, check them out.
Best laulau in town- Want fresh made laulau? Luau leaf still green (not overcooked green/black) and not salty. Tasty!
Very popular local place for local food. I went for the butterfish Lau Lau. It was definitely tasty and the fish bones melt in your mouth, so no need to pick out any bones. I enjoyed it, but it's very different than the misoyaki butterfish that I was looking for. So, if you don't like the fish taste, then there are plenty of other food that they offer on the menu and not just seafood.
