The greatest DJ of all time. Very organized, easy to work with, and professional. DJ Teddy made my 50th birthday celebration so entertaining. He rocked the party with the best hits and kept the dance floor active. Thank you so much for being part of my special day.

Teddy is my favorite DJ to work with on Maui. His professionalism, attention to detail, and amazing music choices keeps the whole party up and dancing throughout the night.

My Wife and I had Teddy and Aurora for our wedding at the Maui Pineapple chapel. Not only were Teddy's DJ skills on point, he went above and beyond what was asked to go over every detail and event to ensure our wedding ran smoothly. We are so thankful to have had Teddy be our DJ for our reception. He is so detail oriented and sticks well to the schedule that was discussed upon. The music quality was great and he has a great emcee voice. Couldn't recommend anybody better!

Teddy, the owner of Your Mix Maui, DJ'd our wedding and helped us through three years and three rounds of wedding planning & re-planning (covid) from 2019-2022. He was professional, kind, supportive, and was above and beyond knowledgeable and helpful from start to finish. We're talking helpful insight on venue policies and locations, helping us think through the flow of our day and the order of our ceremony, dances, toasts, offering his help when covid threw us for a loop, and referring other great wedding vendors for us to work with. Teddy remembered our wishes and was generous with his time meeting and emailing back and forth with us leading up to each wedding date. When it came to our actual wedding - he listened to our tastes and killed it with fun mixes, great cocktail music, and even custom edits of songs we wanted to use. Teddy kept the party going and managed to keep our dance floor full throughout the night - something we didn't think was possible with our crowd. Teddy even came through with a beautiful audio recording of our ceremony. Teddy is passionate about his work, delivers an incredible service at a really reasonable rate, and treats his clients like friends. We couldn't recommend him more highly!

Teddy is detailed, meticulous and dedicated to making sure the party runs smoothly. He has everything a party needs from being an awesome DJ to karaoke, photobooth and movie projector. DJ Teddy was absolutely professional, extremely knowledgeable and detailed. He provided my husband and I with the best wedding experience that we could have ever asked for! He is great at being flexible, understanding, and explains the process to you without you feeling confused or overwhelmed. If I could give him more than five stars, I would.

We had a very unique wedding, which means we needed to find vendors that were up for a challenge and ready for an adventure. Teddy went above and beyond to meet our needs. He met with us several times via Zoom and phone calls and answered the countless emails we sent while planning a wedding from afar. He even reached out to our wedding coordinator to walk through the venue and ensure he had everything needed to make our wedding day a success. We had a wedding on land and a reception on a catamaran at sea. Teddy put together a small set-up that could quickly transition between venues, and created an enclosure to protect his equipment from sea spray during our sunset sail/dance party on the water. He listened to our wants/style, made custom cuts of special songs, and communicated clearly to all of our guests so they would know what to do and where to be throughout the day. We are so grateful for everything he did and would recommend him 100 times over for future events.

I am writing this review in hopes to help prevent my experience from happening to anyone else. Please note that my initial feelings about using Mix Maui were all positive. The owner was responsive and excited to work with us as our DJ on our wedding day. My only reservation was that he was a bit pushy when it came to reserving our date by telling us we needed to put a $400 deposit down to reserve our date by a certain date (more than 9 months before our wedding date) This was because he had another couple that was interested in our date. If we couldn't do the deposit to reserve our date he would need to give the date to the other couple. I caved and put the $400 deposit down as I wanted to make sure we were covered. After the deposit was paid I did not hear a word from Teddy or anyone else at his company. Fast forward a few months and unfortunately we were all placed in a tough situation. The venue our wedding was planned at cancelled all events due to it being purchased by new onwers and a huge remodeling project. I was forced along with 20 other couples (also using the same wedding planning company) to find a new venue quickly. As I made phone call after phone call several venues were already booked for my date. Luckily after speaking to half a dozen venues I was able to find one that was available for a date close to our planned event and within our price range. However, the venue we were able to find has a hard rule of only working with 3 pre-screened DJ services on the island. I spoke with the venue and explained that we had already paid Mix Maui a deposit for our event and asked for an exception to be able to use them for our event. The venue explained that thier policy is to only use one of the three pre-screened companies as they have worked with them for several years. No exceptions to the policy. I was stuck between a rock and a hard spot trying to get my event (which is supposed to be the happiest day of my life) re-scheduled before everything was booked up. Save the Date cards, airline reservations, lodging and other items had already been schedled so changing the date for more than a couple of days from the original date was not an option. I truly went to bat for Mix Maui with our new venue to see if they would allow an exception in this case. However, that was not an option. As soon as I was notified that our event had been cancelled I went to Teddy in early December 2021 to share the news. Our event was not until July 2022 so I expected to get the same response from him as I had from the venue and our wedding planner. "whatever you need from us we are here to help and if you find another option that fits your needs we are happy to refund any payments made to us". All of the other providers we had placed deposits with returned our deposits without question or concern. While Teddy was apologetic about the situation he was reluctant to offer to return any monies paid to him for our event. As things unfolded over the next month into Jan 2022 Teddy refused to return any portion of our $400 deposit and was down right disrespectful to me in his emails. When I was stressed about re-arranging our plans due to a cancelled event by the venue it would have been nice to have Teddy been supportive in understanding that my hand was forced with using someone else. Unfortunately that was not the case. Instead I was beraided with disrepectful emails and threatened to be sued by his attorney.
While I don't doubt that Teddy would have done a decent job at our event had it played out the way we planned. I am disappointed in the way I was treated and the way the situation was handeled when I was forced to make a change to my wedding day. With the ever changing COVID enviroment I would be cautious to hire Tedd at Mix Maui as in my experience he is not understanding and willing to put the customer first when the unexpected occurs.

Seriously the BEST wedding DJ out there. Our wedding was very custom and Teddy helped us at every turn. It was more like having a wedding planner & DJ combined! We had nothing but rave reviews of his DJing. I just wish he was in states for my daughter’s wedding this year. Lol Played all our favorite tunes, was prompt, respectful and profession.

Teddy and company are the bomb. Blew away my guests with his musicality, good nature, personality and style. He's done six or seven other friend's events, and I highly recommend to anyone looking for the best.

Hands down, best decision we could’ve made for our wedding! We found Teddy on Facebook and coincidentally found Aurora, our day of coordinator, through Teddy! They truly are a dynamic duo. Teddy and Aurora work together to make such a cohesive event. The two were so accommodating and kind, we genuinely felt all meetings and conversations were with friends. On several occasions throughout our wedding day I remember thinking how grateful I was that we found Teddy and Aurora because of how well they treated us and our guests. Definitely a “no stone left unturned” approach. They covered everything with complete thoroughness that gave us so much peace of mind. Teddys organization and attention to detail is bar none. Aurora’s calm demeanor and accommodating nature was everything I could ask for on a day that could otherwise be hectic. I honestly wish I could write an article on these two and our experience with them! Lol but I’ll leave it at this; Teddy and Aurora are in a class of their own. Hiring them was without a doubt the best money we could’ve spent toward our wedding and would spend it 5 times over to have them there.

Do you want a DJ that is professional, kind, passionate about music and so knowledgeable about weddings that he might as well also be your coordinator? HIRE YOUR MIX MAUI! We haven't even gotten married yet and I can't say enough good things about Teddy. He's been absolutely seamless to work with, and has been kind, responsive, and helpful throughout planning and then replanning our covid-wedding. He's gone above and beyond to give us insight into our venue, provided unique music recommendations, and even created special cuts of songs we want to use. If you need a DJ on Maui, hire Teddy and thank yourself later.

Teddy is AMAZING. He really spends time getting a feel for what people want and totally delivers. There is no one better you could ask for, trust me.
