Yummy Korean B-B-Q reviews
16 The worst experience and food! I know it’s a food court not a restaurant. But service is service everywhere! We ordered 2 tofu soups which supposed to be vegetarian. When we got our soup it had beef broth. When I asked manager to change it she said they use powder broth so they can change it and we waited for another 15 mins. And anyway it came up not vegetarian, we found a meet chunk in the soup.
When I returned it back instead of being professional the manager started screaming at me! So disappointing…
disappointing food, disappointing service
DO NOT EAT HERE! The works experience ever ordered Tofu soup and its happed to contain beef broth so the were willing to make me one without it. I wait another 15 minutes and first couple bites found a chunk of beef in the soup so they just reheat the old one and told me that’s the new “vegetarian” one total scam. The manger could handle the problem and start yelling to everyone including my girlfriend. 0 customer service!
I ordered bibimbap and asked for an extra spoon, but was ignored by the staff.never go there
I guess I'll have to order another $18 bibimbap to get one more spoon.
After being ignored for a long time, I finally received one more.
Worst Korean BBQ
Store employees very different from Korean sentiments
I ordered kalbi plate and yugejang (2 main dishes) for take out.
Total I paid 44.00 dollars.
When foods came out, I asked staff to put it separate bag.
Because I was with my friend.
One is for my friend that we going different directions.
Staff said "can not, 19 cents extra I have pay"
If I ordered separately and paid separately.
Then I would get 2 bags.
So stupid policy
" I WILL NEVER, NEVER, NEVER GO BACK YUMMY "
I prefer PEARL korean BBQ
The main dish, chicken, was very delicious. I was also glad that I was able to choose 4 side dishes.
Ordered the Bi Bim Bap for dinner.got home only to find that they left out the bulgogi. I essentially paid $17 for a plate of rice, small portion of veggies and an egg.
I went there twice to get food for my kindergartner, and the portions were large. It was a bit irritating though.
I'm harsh on disposable products.
I don't know what the rule is, but I don't eat pork ribs with a disposable spoon even though they don't give you a spoon for chicken dishes and give you a spoon for pork dishes.
I don’t feel the chicken flavor because is so skinny. The worse chicken katsu in all Hawaii after been living here for 5 years. They don’t even cut it.
I have been coming here since 2015 and it’s my to go place…. My favorite dish is the “MEAT JUN” and the “KALBI” one order is good for 2
So you get your moneys worth.
You can call ahead and order…and you can park at the short term 15 min parking and pick up the food…it takes about 10 min.
My wife and I adore Korean food. There is nothing better in our opinion. All the Korean places on our island closed, so when we come to Oahu we unload. The food here is great, but the prices are outrageous! This is beyond inflation, they are straight up price gouging. To top it off, the staff are rude beyond words. The older ladies are the worst. We spent over $40 on two plates, one kalbi and one vegetable only plate. Yep, $40+ bones for maybe $7-8 bucks in food. The banchan are vegetables, not gold! They wouldn't give us more than one single container of gochujang sauce. I'm talking a container with barely a thimble of sauce inside. No joke. The first night we ate there, we were served by one of the younger ladies. She was great. Good size portions, and a couple of gochujang sauce containers. On the second and third night, the elderlies served. Meager portions, and the audacity to try and charge us extra for anything more than a thimble of gochujang. I get that this is Ala Moana, but this is out of control. This place needs management, big time. The prices are one thing, but when the staff are rude as hell, it just makes eating there a real disappointment. If the owners of this location care about their reputation at all, they should take a real close look at what's going on here. Or, they can ignore this review, do nothing, and just survive on the vast number of people that come through the food court which is what I suspect they're going to do. A shame, really because the food is really good. But it's all soured by the rotten people they have working for them that insist on nickel & diming their customers for things that cost them next to nothing.
I gave it only 3 Stars for atmosphere because it's in the mall food court.so how great can that atmosphere be. Great sides with you meal.you pick!
Great mall stop fir lunch! Ribs were tender delish and potato mac yummo! We got the kobe plate $27 but more than enough for two people
This is something you'll want to eat at least once when you go to Hawaii
This every time
The volume is amazing
Amount for two people
Two scoops of rice
I took it home so the soup was piping hot and I appreciate your thoughtfulness.
Even the older ladies who are in attendance are kind, even though they pretend to be innocent.
We found this restaurant while visiting the famous Ala Maona shopping center. We ordered combination of BBQ beef and chicken, served with three side dishes. The BBQ meats tasted GREAT, portions were generous. Highly recommend
Gigantic portion for roughly $18. Enough to feed two people. Mac salad was pretty good too.
The food is quite good! Only the rice is disappointing.
The portion is HUGE, 1 for 2 persons is enough unless you're a big eater.
