I'm not a fan of the dentist, who is? At my last checkup and cleaning they found a cavity. I haven’t had a cavity since I was like 12 or 13. I’m far from that now…really far. Was not super happy I had to get this fixed. The last time I had a filling done it was a very stress full experience.

Dr J is very easy going and talked about everything he was going to do. There was not a big needle and syringe involved in the numbing process. He uses some kind of machine that does the Novacane. It was pretty smooth and easy. In no time the right side of my jaw, lip and cheek were numb. He got to work with the drilling. Not totally pleasant but nothing like I remember. He cleaned out the cavity. Prepped the area and added a UV curing adhesive and the stuff used for the filling was also UV curing. The whole process only took about 30 min. Dr J called the next day to make sure everything was ok. So far next day zero pain or anything. It took quite a few hours for the numbing to go away day of. And I don’t know if it was the Novacane or my anxiety meds but I was super tired when I got home and slept 3 hours. I hope no more cavities for 30 plus more years.

I had a terrible experience this morning. I was explaining to the dentist my jaw pain and asking questions, to which all he had to respond with was, “you should have someone look at it. ” He wasn’t even going to refer me to someone who could actually help, nor did he attempt to look into it. I also told him about the sensitivity I’ve been experiencing and he told me everything was fine, even though he didn’t even check my teeth and only gave an oral cancer screening (which is essentially putting his two fingers in my mouth). I have never experienced such lack of empathy from a health care professional. It was very apparent he did not care about any of my pain or the problems I’ve been experiencing. I’ve been going here for a few years and have expressed my concerns in the past two visits as well but he has never provided any help or possible solutions. Their hours are also changing which is inconvenient. I will say, however, the assistant I see is wonderful. Christy is very caring and attentive, unlike Dr. Julovich. I used to think he was friendly but now I can see he only comes off that way because he isn’t very involved and just smiles a lot. Lastly, I did get x-rays elsewhere for my Invisalign so I know I have a cavity, but when telling him that tooth is sensitive when I eat certain things, his response was something along the lines of “oh when you’re eating things you shouldn’t, it could be between the teeth. ” And then he didn’t even check that tooth.

I had my teeth cleaned today and Robin is AWESOME! She knows me well after going there for over 25 years. Robin and Dr J are both great and they understand my quirky dental issues. I recommend them to anyone looking for a dentist!

Dr Julovich has been my dentist since 2000. Dr J. 's dentistry skills are top-notch and he always does thorough work. Dr J.is also a great communicator. He will talk to you on the phone or respond to text if you have a concern. Recently, I somehow cracked a tooth on a Friday afternoon. Dr J opened his office for me on that following Saturday to examine the tooth, and eased my anxiety by doing a little bonding to fix the crack.

Dr J's staff are excellent at their craft, as well. Robin has been my hygienist for many years. I don't consider getting any dental work enjoyable, but Robin's energetic and friendly personality makes my semi-annual cleanings a lot more relaxing.
