I understand that when we have outages that everyone is upset and wants theirs restored as soon as possible. But when you call in for verification that the power lines laying across your house is dead and you get no response for hours this is unacceptable. I work over 1000 miles from home and trust the safety of my family to alliant energy. Well they have failed, failed my family and failed my expectations. I have never failed to make a payment or comply to any demands they have had. So how is it acceptable that they can fail me. Most importantly fail my family and put their safety on the line. They are currently trapped in our resident due to lines being down everywhere even across our house. All we wanted was verification it was safe for them to get out and get to safety. How can it be acceptable that they will not send anyone out! I could care less about the timeline of having it restored I just want my family to be safe! This is not acceptable! I hold them accountable for being better and doing better!

There is very little if any business support. Communication with business customers is practically nonexistent. They do not appropriately staff their emergency phone lines. If there is an issue on ground, Alliant will not communicate with the property owner.

For as much a you pay for electricity you would think you could turn power back on within 8 hours. Very disappointed.

Been without power for over 24 hours. No communication, website not working and they don't care about food loss especially in this economy. Bet if I didn't pay my bill they would reach out to me right away.

Would rate zero stars if possible. Been out of power for multiple days. Every call gives me no updates whatsoever. Had multiple service trucks drive right past my house, and their response was “they have better places to be”.

If no star was possible that’s what I would rate them. I had my power line knocked down during a storm and it took them 3 days to come hook it back up. The power line was hot laying on the wet ground. When I called, they never once had a good estimate and everytime I called they kept pushing back the time they said they could come. Took 3 days for them to come do a 15 minute job.

Overpriced, terrible response time for outages wouldn't even use them but only power company in cedar rapids

So I am not a fan of Alliant energy so when I had to call them today I was not looking forward to the experiment. However I was pleasantly surprised when Peggy answered and helps me with all of my issues. She was so kind and helpful. They definitely need to pay her more because she went above and beyond

I keep getting bills when my old place isn't even in my name or need service. Told them about it several times. They really don't seem to get it. Horrible 0/5 stars if I could

Was gone for an entire month and shut all electric off while I was gone and they still said I used more than the normal amount and gave us extra charges. Complete scam company.

Got a disconnect notice for a bill that was 6 days late.yeah, less than a week late and they're getting out the big guns. Nice.

You guys are the absolute worst. Disgrace we have to deal with Alliant for our electricity

I’ve been trying to call for multiple days and it just rings and then after a few minutes tells me there’s system problems and to call later. I’ve called later and different days and can’t get ahold of anyone.

Absolutely ridiculous how much they overcharge their customers. I have paid $100+ electricity bills for a studio apartment in Cedar Rapids. I can't think of a company more greedy than Alliant.

If I could give zero stars I would. Trying to figure out our last bill before moving out of their area has been a nightmare. Their customer Service is very unhelpful.

The most corrupt and monopolizing company in the state of Iowa. How the their board of directors haven’t been indicted yet is beyond me.

If I could give a negative 5 star i would. I moved out and had the electric taken out of my name.then i get a bill for the following they say i owe for a unit i didn't even have keys for, further more they will not even contact Spaulding lofts to verify that i didnt live there they have most crooked pathetic business ethics. I now have mid American at my new location. Alliant is the most over priced ever I've seen. I'm actually contacting the BBB to report their pathetic crooked ways of doing business. I will never never rent again orv buy anywhere rust Alliant energy provides energy to! I will not pay tht bill it is not my bill
