Amana Nature Trail reviews
6 Awesome walking adventure
Make sure to wear big spray
There is different trails and are combined into one and branch off.
Kudos to the crew who designed this.but it does not appear city maintained. Not all portions are well worn, no trash cans anywhere. But great markers and organization and education on trail map and distances.
It was a quite, beautiful, easy trail to follow. Tons of nature to soak in. There is nice parking. If you come on a nice day you can easily spend hours walking the trails.
It's a beautiful place to hike with your dog. The problem is the trail map posted at the begining isnt accurate. Luckily we made it back to the truck before dark. And trail markings.are rediculous. 3rd time we've attempted this trail. Still haven't found the supposed Indian Mounds. But we did find an apparently nonexistant 200 year old Indian stone fish weir. There's a big sign for that. I love Amana but this trail needs some simple accurate information. It's just not worth the frustration. Let me know if anyone cares enough to fix it.
Surprise nice hike. Shaded the entire loop. Some trees down on the trail in spots. Lots of birds.
The trails were very pretty with the Fall colors! I agree with others that the shooting range nearby was very loud. Not for ppl with PTSD.
