Amish Country Store, Lamoni IA

The Amish Country Store portion of this stop is fantastic, loaded with furniture and décor along with Amish jams, jellies, pickles and cheese. There are candies and ingredients, and a bakery area with bread and cinnamon rolls bigger than soft balls! While the attached Maid-Rite was a major disappointment, I can see this store being a regular stop for us as we take I-35 road trips in the coming years.

We bought 8 of the different types of jam, and then stopped into the Maid Rite. Not kidding, the ham and swiss sandwich was the best my gf and I have ever had in our lives. We were still talking about it after we left. This place is definitely worth the stop.

This is one of the best Amish stores I have been in. We stop in about once per month and are never disappointed with the service, fresh bread, and all the home made Amish food and items.

Had some cheese fries but came for the "50 types of jam"️Nice to find NSA (no sugar added) Bakery items were purchased as well

Absolutely the perfect stop to stretch your legs, cool off, have a nice lunch or dinner, and admire the artwork and foods of the Amish. We especially love the jellies and jams! This is a must for our road trips. Clean bathrooms, cute interior, kind people. I will say some products are pricey, but the products made by the Amish are reasonably priced. Their cinnamon rolls are AMAZING!

A good place to take a break from your drive. It's small, but they have a lot of variety. I would think an "Amish country store" would have real ice cream, but no.just plain ol' soft serve. Oh well. We'll try the other place in town for ice cream on our next trip. They need more gluten free options.

Auf dem Weg von Kansas City nach Norden kommt man an der Interstate 35 automatisch am Amish Country Store vorbei. Wenn man noch gar keine persönliche Erfahrung mit der Amish People Kultur hat, ist das hier eine sehr gute Gelegenheit. Der Laden ist sehr groß und hat eine riesige Auswahl an allerlei touristischem Krimskrams. Deswegen sollte man aber nicht hierher kommen: im Laden wird sehr viel handwerklich hergestelltes für den täglichen Bedarf verkauft. Eine sehr gute Auswahl an Marmeladen, Gelees und eingelegten Früchten. Quilts -aus alten Scheunenbrettern hergestellte Ornamente, Körbe, Möbel etc. Selbstverständlich muss man im gemütlichen Restaurant entweder den Apfel- oder Blaubeerkuchen probieren. Sowas bekommt man auch in Amerika nicht alle Tage.

If your looking for a true Amish store this one failed us. Was soo dissapointed with much, much, much of the items maid in China! We like shopping at the rural Amish stores but this seemed to be just a tourist trap. Sorry but that's what we found.

Always stop here! Handmade baskets made by Amish craftspeople. Maid rite restaurant and a bakery on site. Lots of warmies available! The building has almost doubled in size the past year!

This place is so charming! Stopped on our way home to Kansas City. We didn't eat at the restaurant, but we will try it next time. I bought some pickles and jam, both are spectacular!

Everyone who works there is pleasant and personable. The young lady at the register was very nice, like talking to an old friend. I highly recommend stopping here if you end up in the neck of the woods. A great place to take the whole family!

Been driving past here for years and never stopped. Decided yesterday was the day. I'm glad I did! The store was filled with treasures and sweets! Oh, and it smells like a tenderloin thanks to the Maid-Rite inside. I didn't try any food, but I'm sure it was delicious. They had everything from furniture to jellies, jams and pillows inside. Also, before you leave make sure to pick up some Iowa travel guides and delicious free coffee. My Grandma just kept talking about how good the coffee was and I agree. This place is worth the short detour off I-35.

What a great store! Stopped through on a trip, got some great salsa and bread and had something to eat! Also the staff were so incredibly nice!

Nice place to buy Amish stuff but regular commercial is mixed in so be sure your getting the real thing. Has a bulk food pantry and a hot food counter. I didnt eat there but there was alot of people doing so.

I got a patty meal that will blow your mind I mean I'm talking it will blow it if you ever had your mind blowing you'll get a blown with their food until any hot fries how's everything always stop and tell him whenever we have time and he here to Amish place

We spent a long time shopping here. You can find lots of cool things and things that support local businesses in town. There is anything from candy to snacks to even a restaurant. There are kitchenware and even furniture. Its very clean and great location for travelers.
