Anamosa Veterinary Clinic

This is an outstanding Clinic! I called to get my pup (Harley) in as quickly as possible due to an urgent need. The staff was comforting and polite during my initial phone call. Upon my arrival at the Clinic, me and Harley were taken to an exam room immediately and the gal that escorted us listened so kindly as I babbled about my pup. The doctor (Rik Smith) was amazing, honest and was so gently with my Harley who is my little 5lb.dude. Rik’s assistant was terrific as well. The experience was very nice, comforting and calmed me down from worrying so much about the concern at hand. I would like to add, I have always had pleasant visits to the Clinic. I have six Pomeranians and have gone to this clinic for years. They are great animal loving people! I would recommend this Clinic to any fur baby!

Everyone is so friendly! All the vets and techs are wonderful. Having a 24/7 emergency means the world to me. No complaints here!

Got right in, all staff was friendly, any questions were answered
shots were all with the doctor and done efficiently.

We had to put our 17 year old kitty down. They were very kind and treated her as if she was their own pet. Very comforting in their manner. Great staff.

They were able to squeeze our sick dog in on a Saturday. Phenomenal staff and excellent care! Thank u!

My dog had an issue that he needed to go to the emergency clinic in Cedar Rapids. We had him in a cone for about 6 days, upon removing it the side of his face was really swollen. We called the emergency vet and they suspected it was an abscessed tooth, which they could do nothing about apart from pain meds to tie him over until we got him to our current vet. My vet was closed at noon the next day and wouldn't take a tooth cleaning because the Dr that does them isn't in on Wednesdays. I called the 24 hour number for Anamosa and apologized to the on-call vet about it not being an emergency. She was extremely sweet and figured it was an abscess, that he would be fine until morning. She thought they had a dental cancellation, told me to make sure he didn't eat anything else and call first thing at 6: 30 am to get him in. They got my little man in and Ryan did a spectacular job! I'm always panicky about anesthesia, even though I know it's a necessity, and he assured me that the pre-op bloodwork would show any red flags if they existed and they'd call me in the case of any issues. Kept me updated as to when he woke up and as they monitored him after the surgery. Will be my primary care place going forward!

: We have been taking our pets here since I was a child. Have always had wonderful experiences! They are so kind and helpful. We had an emergency with our dog a few years back with him having a seizure in the middle of the night and they met us there after hours and took great care of him! They are also very helpful anytime we have needed to call in for any questions or help.

They staff is pleasant and they are great about working you in. Veterinary visits aren't always planned and it is nice to know that your vet is there you and your furry ones.

Anamosa is an awesome clinic to take your animals to. They work with you on appointments and if u have a emergency they will work u in. All the vets and employees are super nice and helpful. I am part of a rescue and they are very good about helping our animals and working with us. I recommend this clinic to everyone
