Ankeny Miracle Park reviews
14The kids love this park and I do too. Lots of places for parents to relax or they can play too!
Miracle Park has a large playground with a separate play structure for kids ages 2-5. There's a picnic shelter and seasonal modern restrooms near the playground.
We fashioned an entire road trip around going to this park. Nothing online tells you that this park is actually part of a school! So we drove almost 2 hours for our special needs children to be able to play at this park. On a Monday, but the gate is locked because it's part of a freaking school! So I have a car load of disappoined kids.
This park is amazing! There are tons of bathrooms and water fountains and there are sports fields surrounding it so there are even concession stands for food and drinks! There is also the park itself which is amazing because there are to of them according to your age! One is for smaller kids 2-7 and the other one is for kids 8-20! Yes that's right 20 you could play on it if you wanted to over all its a great park defiantly check it out!
Another COOL COOL COOL park with great playground in Ankeny.
One of the best engineering work when it comes to playground that I have encountered so far. Whoever designed this playground deserves a pay raise.
The platforms are well connected and integrated with all the climbs and slides.
Bars are at the right heights and steps are challenging yet accommodate for kids.
Well utilized with stuff to play above and below. So kids are engaged wherever they stumble upon.
And shaded partially that you don’t feel much of the sun on you.
Swings are nicely spread out.
Sport courts are right next to the playground and look well kept.
Saw lot of kids playing and practicing today.
Restroom is clean and not smelly)
Did not see many benches and tables for picnic though. Just a few only.
We went to this park while we were visiting from out of town. My kiddos had a blast! The other 2 parks we had gone too were pretty residential so coming to this park was great! It is a pretty large park with no wood chips, and there is lots to do for the kiddos!
Anytime we go back to the Ankeny or the Des Moine area we will make sure to stop by there
What a great park! Tons of slides and things to climb, lots of accessible options for differently abled individuals. Very clean and the kids loved it
This is a great park for all ages with a variety of equipment. Easily accessible. Wide open grassy areas. Great for a picnic, playtime or sports. They have baseball fields and volleyball area. Restrooms were nearby and plenty of shade from trees and shelters. Kids loved it.
I loved this area. On vacay and took my kids here. They enjoyed themselves and so did I. There are grills, picnic tables, playground area for kids 3-10, baseball area, tennis court and more. We sat by the lake and watched the ducks. A nice and relaxing scene.
What a cool park. Very inclusive and available for everyone. I really appreciated the unisex bathroom with normal flushing toliets (noise sensitive kids do not like the automatic flushing ones!), the extra long changing table, and cleanliness was excellent. Very busy day at the park. So many different areas to play. They also had a nice shaded playground for toddlers. Also nicely shaded picnic tables. This park was perfect for us. Highly recommended.
My boys (7years old) just had their first baseball game on the Miracle League field and it was truly amazing. I love that this park (fields & playground) were made to be inclusive of ALL children. I also feel that it encourages children to be kind to other children. So many smiles and so much joy are spread throughout the park and isn't such a beautiful thing!
Always love going to this park with friends.has a few playgrounds and a nice pond to walk around.every time we go the pond is full of ducks.bathrooms are surprisingly clean for a public park.very pet friendly.lots of sports areas too (baseball, volleyball, tennis, etc)
definitely recommend visiting if you're in the Ankeny area
Huge playground. Kids loved it. Good for all ages. Also, seems like good accessibility for handicapped as well so that's a plus!
