Applebee's Grill + Bar, Mason City IA

Not a big fan of this place. Food is always mediocre at best. Better places with cheaper prices out there

Pretty good food. Got to store after dinner rush. Staff was cleaning up tables and trying to serve customers. Had to massively wait for tea refill. But I could see waitress was busy. I'm going to give them another try at better time of day. Meal was pretty good, not great.

Just had a not so pleasant experience. My wife's potatoes were cold and her steak wasn't cooked at all how she ordered it. My fries were stale and mushy at the same time. Probably won't be going back anytime soon

Disappointed in the food. We love going to Applebee's as they have a nice variety on their menu no matter what you might be in the mood to eat. Usually the food is great but this go round my bun was a little burnt and my bacon was burnt black and a almost nonexistent. The waitress did have it remade for me but at that point my husband had already finished his food and I was full off of the french fries so she boxed up to take home. Not sure if this was an off night for someone but hopefully our next visit is better.

I understand it was busy that night. The waitress didn't know the menu well enough, couldn't tell me the sauce they have for their wings. Both of the food deliverers didn't check if we needed anything else, and by the time we got our silverware, the appetizer was not hot any more, and the steak was luke warm after i got the condiments for it. Food did taste great.

Great location off main road with plenty of parking. Staff were very helpful. Food was very good, except for the Asian boneless chicken nuggets. The breading was very dense and hard, not very tasty. All else was great.

Food was excellent! So much food we couldn't finish it and all without costing an arm and a leg. Great waitress and friendly staff. Will definately be returning!

I love Applebee's! My favorite thing on the menu is the steak and parmesan shrimp! I would recommend when ordering how you want you steak you request it a little more done. (Example: if you want a medium rare, then request medium.) The staff is super! Our waitress was always looking out and I am always impressed with the friendliness of the waitresses! On a side note, I also recommend the nachos!

Usually really good food and service. This time food was good but the waitress was really bad. Apparently didn't want to be there or give any decent service to the customers!

I love their Zuppa Tuscana! The sausage to potato ratio is perfect. I just wish there was more kale in it. It seems to be hit or miss. I think since it's not made on sight it's hard to control ingredients. I do love that you can order soup and breadsticks to go.

I have already gave you my comment on this place I wasn't happy with their service last week or last January, February they need more training at the Waverly restaurant plus the entry door rugs need replacing I fell last winter and scraped my knees and hands no concern from their staff on how I was I'm not sure I'll be visiting this place again

They seemed to have enough staff but we had to ask for beverage refills and ask to take our dirty salad plates when our meal arrived?
Doubtful if we will be back.

Salad portions are huge! Refills for drinks were SLOW to come. Went without drink most of the meal. Service otherwise was fine

Seemed like it took longer than normal to get our food and the place wasn't busy when we were there.

The food was good but not real impressed with our server today. I left her too big of a tip but wanted to finish out a gift card. She really didn't deserve it.

Usually good food, we had to send a steak back twice before for not being cooked enough, but I also understand everybody has bad days. Every other time the food has been amazing. Servers are always super friendly and if there has ever been a problem the manager/shift lead comes out to deal with it right away. I love the 2 for $22 deal, an appitizer and 2 main dishes, cant beat that

I had a Margarita thing it was very sticky I had sugar all over even my elbow there was a mentally handicapped man who kept looking at me because I was trying to lick my elbow he thought it was a sign he should try to lick his elbow we did this for about 20 minutes good times

Took over an hour to get our food and the onion rings were freezer burned and so disgusting. The waitress hardly checked on us. I will not go back there. They are on the decline big time.

Terrible Service. Awful food. So much salt on green beans it actually burnt my tongue! Ugh the absolute worst experience I've ever had at an applebees.

Over priced and mediocre food. Wait staff was pestering and service was slow. Seriously, just don't bother with AppleBees in general. Save your money for a quality meal and experience, because you won't find it here.
