Aziz was great! I have rented from here a few times and each time have worked with him. He is friendly and does everything possible to get you in and out safely on the road. Had issue with a vehicle and he fixed it immediately! Highly recommend renting here especially if you get to work with him! Job well done Aziz!

TL/DR: Don't expect to get a car, even if you prepaid.

Reserved a rental and prepaid, and I believe I provided DL information. When I showed up for pickup, the attendant told me they couldn't rent me a car because a little machine showed a red light after they scanned my license.

Attendant was nice but unable to explain why; he suggested that the machine might have thought my license was expired (it isn't) or counterfeit (it isn't). My driving record is fine, and my credit is very good. No live people are available to answer my calls at Avis. Now it's too short term to rent a car anywhere else, and I have a plane to catch in Omaha.

This is an unacceptable way to do business. I guess Is Avis looking to steal my prepaid reservation cost? I hope they have a better explanation for the IA secretary of state and/or US CFPB.

Rental was covered in ice, snow & dirt on the exterior. Customer service was very hurried, rushed & unsatisfactory.

Always great customer service! Aziz always is polite and makes sure my rental is correct! Very accommodating for my rental needs! I would recommend this place to everyone!

The staff was nice. The reason for the low star count is due to the rental that I had. The windows were so dirty, when the sun hit the window I couldn’t see through the film on the window. By far the nastiest rental I’ve ever had.

Excellent experience and the gentleman that runs the business understands customer service. He was able to get me in a car in short notice. Use this location and not the Avis just north of here. Excellent with 5 stars!

If you want to rent a car Avis is the place to go the cars are always really clean and smell nice.the staff is friendly and easy to work with! If i could give 10 stars i would.

The person who attended me who looked like a Latino, he said his name was Alex, but I'm not sure. It was the worst experience that I've had with a representative at a car rental agency. We went there to pick up the car, and they didn't have it, but they did have a similar model, we asked a few questions about it to decide if we wanted it. The representative got really angry, and stopped answering our questions, just saying the car was better and there wasn't a need for any questions. Which was annoying because we were just trying to decide. After we decided we wanted the car, we started to fill out the contract. Then the representative had the audacity to say that the entire situation was ridiculous. Terrible experience, will never rent there again.

I highly recommend this Avis, They are very professional along with fast and friendly service. I will definitely be renting another vehicle in August.

Nice car.but at check out they hit me with almost the cost of the rental again.for insurance. This was a crime and I will never rent from Budget again.

Yeah the people there really cool gave me a really good rate on my 2nd week renting renting with them and I Reserved a mid size and a young fellow there gave me an S UV that was really cool

The car I rented from Budget ended up a with a dead battery the morning I needed it. I called the 800 number for help, but the guy hung up the call after half an hour of mumbo jumbo. I called the next available number on Google and it ended up reaching the gem of a boy Malek Musa at Budget car rental in Johnston. He took ownership of the problem and arranged the towing of the car from my place to his. He was very professional and patient with my plight of all my plans for the day gone awry because of the car having the dead battery. He advised me to reach for the customer service for refunds and further compensation which all worked just fine and it could have been a far worse experience but for enthusiastic customer service of Mr. Malek Musa who really alleviated lot of the pain caused by the non functioning car.

We had a very positive experience in working with Aziz Gulamov at Avis Rent A Car 5500 Johnston. He was extremely helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. He really went the extra mile in helping us work through an inconvenience that happened to us due to a vehicle we left in their parking lot accidentally getting towed while we were renting a vehicle through them. Rather than leaving the responsibility or problem to us to solve, he took responsibility and gave us the help we needed to resolve the problem. We were very thankful that he was the local agent we were working with. Not many people (or companies) would treat their customers in such a helpful, friendly, professional way as Aziz treated us in these circumstances. I'm definitely impressed with him and this local Avis office.

Set a reservation for a vehicle to seat 7 people. Confirmed a day or two before that we had a vehicle set aside for 7 people and were told yes! Picked up the vehicle and when I went home to load my family for our vacation, found out there was only 6 seats/seat belts! Called and got connected to customer service and was told that it was listed as a vehicle within the range and there was no other vehicle available. I called customer service back after the vehicle was returned and was told that it’s not a guarantee how many it seats because the model can change. Um what? ! So I can reserve a vehicle for 7 people and it may only seat 5 and that’s ok? I couldn’t cancel the trip because everything was already paid in advanced, no other vehicles were available so I had to put 7 people in a vehicle with 6 seat belts. This company does not value the lives they are putting at risk and didn’t even compensate enough to make it right! Was also NEVER TOLD that the gas needed to be returned full tank and was charge $69! Will never go with Avis again nor recommend them!

Where do I start?
first off all I reserved a minivan got a gas guzzler uncomfortable SUV that is all they had was told my van was given to Detasseler's
2nd off the tank was not full I let them know they offered to go fill it but I wanted to get on the road it was 6 gallons low but I brought it back full
3rd off the tire warning light was on when I got in the vehicle tire was low has a slow leak had to put air in 3 times in 3 days
4th of all the vehicle was filthy inside and out including empty Gatorade bottles
All the cars I have ever rented I have never had an experience like this.

Avis Rental in Johnston Iowa is perfect they are so respectful and they are awesome quick in the door out the door very good customer service the only place I go

Three days before our family vacation that’s been planned for a year we get a call saying they won’t have a car for us. You would think, having a reservation for nearly a year that they would have had a vehicle for us. Completely unacceptable!
