Bancroft's Flowers & Greenhouses reviews
5Ordered flowers for funeral, they weren't delivered until funeral was over. No compensation offered.
We used Bancroft's for our wedding and couldn't recommend them more! I wanted a colorful, wildflower look and provided our invitation as inspiration and they executed it wonderfully! They provided extra stems for our photographer to use for our detail shots, which was great. We also wanted floral pocket squares instead of boutonnieres for the guys and they turned out perfect! They were easy to work with and reasonably priced! Thank you for helping bring my wedding vision to life!
I placed an order for 20 carnations a week in advance. At the time I ordered them, I let the worker know I would be picking them up first thing in the morning on the 15th. I was asked if I wanted to pay for the order while I was on the phone; I said yes and provided my card information. I showed up to pick up the order around 830am on the day I had said. At first, they seemed puzzled, as the owner asked the worker something to the effect of, "do you know anything about this order? " After a few minutes, they did find my order, however, they didn't have it prepared yet. The owner informed me the carnations she had weren't any good, but their truck was coming soon. They DID offer to deliver the flowers for free once they got their shipment. I said ok, provided information where I wanted them sent, and was ready to leave when I was told, "you still have to pay for the order. " I was confused as I thought I already paid.
Perhaps it was a fluke. I understand they were recovering from valentines day. However, that being said I would think they'd have enough flowers ordered in preparation for the holiday and my advance order would constitute as sort of a reservation of the good flowers they had on hand. What's more, 20 carnations individually tubed would take some time to prepare so perhaps this should have been done the previous day?
Ultimately and unfortunately, it feels like by ordering ahead, my order slipped through the cracks or was forgotten due to other orders and the valentine's holiday rush. I appreciate they found the order and delivered them for free, but I was really looking forward to being the one to present them.
Don’t know anything about flower boques. Called and asked if they could get one worthy of a proposal by the 3 the next day. Had a beautiful spread ready and surprisingly cheap! Couldn’t recommend more!
