Barrel House reviews
20In the quad cities It's not often the chef checks in on dinner, but it happened tonight. The entire staff was wonderful and the food quality matched.
One of my worst restaurant experiences.
Sitting down was normal and our waitress was nice, but over an hour and a half period was served a flat beer, informed that a cook had walked out but our food was on the way, to be later told we were the “next ticket”, and a mediocre food experience to say the most. Burger could be compared to a frozen patty that got thawed out that day, as I have had better at a fast food restaurant for half the price. Fries were good. Wished we would have been given the option to pay for our beers and leave rather than waiting an hour for mediocre food and having to pay full price. Would not recommend.
The only down side was that they only had 2 waitresses covering a packed house and especially worrisome that we weren't going to get our food before our event at the Adler Theatre. Our waitress did the best she could with such a large crowd. Left her a good tip but she and her coworker deserve a huge raise for their hard work.
They are on the DoorDash app, yet orders through the app to this merchant are met with utter disregard for your order the rudest of staff (the bartender is real freaking peach), and a disgust for your money. Don't order from here if you want food, enjoy food, and/or are human.
We use to visit a couple times a month until covid hit. Was going to go again so looked at the menu only to find price jump on everything. We took this place off our list as a regular stop when it cost over $45 bucks to eat burgers, fries and a beer. Sorry Barrel House.
It was really good! My girlfriend and I both enjoyed what we ordered. Menu has a lot of unique options, the staff is friendly, and it's reasonably priced, all things considered. Only suggestion I have is to offer to-go boxes. Will definitley go back!
They were super busy when we arrived, resulting in a long wait. We had a show to get to so had to leave before our food was served. They offered dinner on them if we came back after the show. We did, the food was great, and the music was even better!
Waited for 30 minutes to be greeted and put on the waiting list. Gave up and left. At minimum, greet the parties waiting to see how long it's going to be. Instead everyone on staff just walked by and acted like the 20 people (of multiple parties) didn't exist.
Jodi was awesome tonight! She resolved our DoorDash issue perfectly. Their food is always delicious, love Barrel House! ️
Arrived at about 4: 45 PM on a Sunday after visiting the Figge Museum. We got a table immediately and server was there to take our drink orders almost as soon as we were seated. I got the firecracker shrimp appetizer and my husband got the firecracker shrimp wrap with sweet potato fries. Everything was excellent. We timed our arrival perfect; by 5: 30, the wait time was 45 minutes to an hour. The bartender and servers were hopping by the time we left. Our service was great.
Super fast service, great food, and the island time beer was awesome! It's apparently brewed by bent river exclusively for Barrel House, and it was great.
Great food, good service and decent prices. They were very busy when we got there and they did a wonderful job of getting us seated and served quite quickly. Definitely be returning.
The hamburger and sweet potato fries were tasty and met my expectations. The wait staff was helpful, friendly, and efficient.
Food was okay, not spectacular. The service was a little less than average (on the slower side). It was clean and presentation was nice. Would I eat here again? Yes, but I wouldn't consider myself a frequent flyer.
One my fav places to eat for lunch! Extremely sad they are temp closed been craving some nachos. Hoping its not closed for good!
Worst club sandwich ever. Like cheap packaged lunch meat and greasy. My friend's Rueben was better but nothing great. And dessert was a joke.
We were playing at the pool tournament at the River Center. We heard good things, so we walked over to the Barrel House. Nice clean place. Really like the decor. Restaurant was about 1/3 or 1/4 full. Waitress was nice. Placed our order and waited.and waited.and waited some more. Atleast a 30 or 40 minutes. We ordered 1 cheeseburger & fries and 3 wraps with fries. The wraps were all good. My burger was cold. Besides being cold, it was just ok. Nothing spectacular. My friends sweet potatoe fries were cold. The regular fries were all hot. We didn't send anything back, cause we had waited so long to begin with. Honestly we were there for a solid 1.5 hours.
Food was good but service was so-so. Had to ask wait staff for things we should have gotten with our meals and staff was slow to serve. We were one of only 3 tables in the place.
Always one of our favorites. They have a wide menu and the service is always outstanding. Think comfort foods and sports bar food combined. Would recommend everyday and twice on Sundays
I was to meet friends for dinner here but one of them was in a serious car accident a few days before. Food is delicious and the service has always been excellent. That is why I recommended Barrel House.
