Bar Bellhop reviews
14Very cool bar. Very green tropical vibes. A great getaway feel for a frigid January. Drinks are great and the music was pretty good too!
My wife and I aren't "bar" people. Nor do we drink alcohol. So we never had any reason to go out. But after hearing about the THC drinks being offered by Bellhop we had to try them! They were very inexpensive and it created a magical night for my wife and I out on the town! Everyone was polite and genuinely excited to be there, the live music mixing was really great, and the aesthetic of a tiki bar being located in central Iowa as it was snowing outside was very cool. We are already making plans to go back and take friends with us next time!
Tropical plants line the large windows. The bar stools are comfy. There are cozy tables for groups.
The NA selection is amazing. The green drinks, THC infused will give you a mood boost without the alcohol.
We stopped in today and wanted to use PubPass that they offer and the bartender refused to honor their BOGO offer. He was very rude and arguementive. They lost out in all our business for the evening.
Wonderful spot with cozy seating, wonderful atmosphere, great staff, and amazing drinks! Nice selection and unique in being a tiki lounge!
I’ve been wanting to try their drinks for the longest time and we finally went on Halloween weekend. The drinks were delicious and wish I could have taken more pictures! I absolutely love their piña colada! Definitely will be going back!
Really cool vibe in here, awesome bartenders, and the drinks were fantastic. Didn’t try any food so can’t speak on that!
Lauren was AMAZING! She was so personable with all of my friends. We love her and will be coming back to see her just because of the customer experience we had!
Bellhop has some great tiki drinks, but as another reviewer noted, it’s not a traditional tiki vibe - I’d describe it as modern exotica. A younger crowd as well. We had great service and there’s some pyrotechnics with at least one drink
Fun spot for a Saturday afternoon. The vibe, theme and staff are all in synch and make an effort for fun. Ask for Brian.
Unexpected tiki bar in downtown Des Moines. The drink were good and the environment was very fun. We would go back for sure. Parking was very easy and we were able to get a seat right away. A welcome change to the local norm.
We had so much fun at Bellhop. Absolutely beautiful location. They take their tiki seriously, and have a killer Mai Tai the way it’s supposed to be made. The big surprise was the pillow talk - I can and did have too many of those. It’s a shame there’s no food right now - even bar snacks would go a long way.
Bellhop has great tiki drinks, very good drinks- well presented and the folks making the drinks are awesome but it’s not a tiki bar. Ambiance is more of a cool beach vibe with club music. The crowd is hip and trendy. It’s a fun place to grab drinks with friends.
Of the three places that brands itself as a tiki bar in Des Moines, Bellhop is the best overall.
The bartender tonight, Trent, was so friendly and professional! Drinks were delicious and served quickly despite the busy crowd. Thanks, Trent!
