It was so beautiful, peaceful and relaxing. The covered wagons are so fun! Marcel and Amy are the friendliest hosts ever and it's obvious they love sharing their little bit of heaven with everyone! We are planning another trip when we can stay a bit longer. Great way to spend quality time together for our anniversary

Best Nest Farm is an amazing place to unwind and spend time in nature! Amy and Marcel are fantastic hosts and share their farm with their visitors to explore. Spending time with the animals, kayaking on the lake, hiking the trails, sitting out at the campfire, and more.there's something for everyone who is looking for an outdoor getaway!
The wagons are beautiful and unique! Much like tent camping, you hear the sounds of nature around you (animals, wind, etc.) but unlike tent camping, you have a heating/cooling unit to keep the temperature where you want it and a comfy bed to curl up and soak it all in as you doze off! And of course the fully plumbed bathroom with a shower inside the wagon takes glamping up a notch!
While there are great restaurants in the neighboring towns, next time we will bring food to grill so that we take advantage of every minute we have on the farm!

My husband and I chose Best Nest Farm for our anniversary getaway because we were looking for a unique experience. This was definitely it! The covered wagons are gorgeous, cozy, and full of all the camping essentials. We enjoyed spending time hiking around the farm, paddle boating, sitting by the fire pit, and feeding the alpacas. It was so refreshing to have a few days in nature with no screens or obligations. The owners really thought of everything when stocking the wagons! We were even greeted with the sweetest welcome letter, flowers, and truffles from a local bakery! I cannot recommend a better place for a quick getaway and down time. While its only an hour outside of Omaha, it feels like you are hundreds of miles away from the city. We will definitely be back!

The Best Nest is truly amazing! It’s a beautiful place and the wagons are top notch! Amy and Marcel thought of everything! Go stay a night or two and feed the ducks and alpacas, have a bonfire under the stars (be sure to look up on a clear night because they are spectacular out in the country!), sleep in a covered wagon, and go kayaking. You will love it there!

We enjoyed our stay so much at the Best Nest! The hosts are very knowledgeable about their farm and their alpacas and ducks, and also the glamping wagons are so very well-equipped, from the bathroom to the coffee and breakfast treats to the fire pit supplies. We would return to this spot again.

What a fantastic experience! Amy & Marcel were gracious hosts, immediately welcoming us with local beer & wine before giving us a tour of their beautiful property, complete with a duck pond, alpacas, hiking trails, sitting areas, and gardens! Our wagon was spotless and no detail was overlooked; we could tell a ton of thought and care was put into making their guests feel at home. We enjoyed the use of the large pond & paddle boat and caught a lot of fish (which says a lot, because an angler I am not!), while taking in a spectacular sunset, then later a lightening show in the distance over the provided fire pit. Cannot recommend Best Nest Farm enough, whether you’re local and looking for a quick, unique getaway or just passing through the Omaha area. You will leave feeling refreshed and wanting to come back as soon as possible!

Unique and sooo comfortable, beautiful surroundings. And if you like peace and quiet this is the place. We took our grandkids and hope to do so again when the seasons change.

What a magical place! I stayed at Best Nest while visiting family in nearby Glenwood and have been plotting my next visit ever since. The property itself is incredibly beautiful - rolling woodlands nestled in the hills of southwest Iowa for hiking and a lake for kayaking with an actual island (!). The covered wagon sleeping quarters go beyond glamping - they are well appointed and are essentially no different from a top-notch hotel (high-quality bedding, large showers, etc.) save for the expansive night sky that is on full glorious display. We slept easy knowing that the property is patrolled by two of the most amazing Turkish shepherd dogs you will ever meet who are there to watch over five adorable alpacas, a family of ducks and three cats - all of which made the experience extra special.

My husband and I absolutely loved it. From the covered wagon that is roomy and perfectly decorated to the outdoor seating area to relax. Whether you are watching the lake, the stars, the alpacas, or the farm dogs Scout and Apollo wrestle around.it was the ultimate relaxing night at the wagon. Feeding the alpacas was by far one of the coolest things we have ever done! We were greeted by Amy and Marcel upon arrival and they were welcoming and even pointed us to a Megs, a local burger joint, to grab a burger for dinner. The food was fantastic! We look forward to coming back in the future and bringing family to visit along with us. If you have a chance you have to stay here. DO IT! You will not regret it! It has officially taken the number one spot on our list of places to stay!

We had a great Glamping experience with our family. Our covered wagon was very comfortable, and the setting was peaceful. The views of the lake and surrounding woodland from our wagon were spectacular. The hosts have done a wonderful job, making this experience, one of a kind. The covered wagon was roomy, clean, and cozy. They’re not your grandpa‘s covered wagons! Our queen bed was very comfortable. Our grandkids found the bunkbeds to be fun. Plenty of room inside for four. The air conditioner, and the hot shower in the wagon made the experience very comfortable. The coffee maker and snack basket were an added bonus. Everyone enjoyed the wildlife and meeting the alpacas, baby ducks, and petting dogs and cats. The fire pit and night sky, made for a magnificent ending to a fun day. We’re going back!
