Big Grove is an amazing addition to Des Moines and Ingersoll. A massive restaurant with a HUGE patio. Beer and drinks are always good and service is great, especially considering how busy they always are. They have a wide variety of food items to eat and I have enjoyed everything I have tried there. A fantastic atmosphere to bring family or meet friends. Try the wings or the poke bowl! Looking forward to better weather so we can be on that patio all summer long!

This place was fantastic. The food and service were amazing. Went here with family, and we were impressed. We will definitely be coming back here again!

They always produce good beer but this was the first time I had their food, and it was excellent. Also a great setting and location. Side patio is a little removed which some might like for more privacy. I’d probably never sit in the taproom when busy because it was deafening in there.

Nice craft brew choices that are tasty. Decent food with fresh local vibe. The Brisket Mac n cheese is Spicy! Beware.

Food was great. Farmhouse burger was good. Could tell the meat was quality. Bacon was perfect. The egg was over done. Which anyone who gets an egg on a burger knows what I mean. Total let down when it isn't runny. Queso and chips are bomb. Beers were good I had the wheat.

Now the issue with the night. Look I get it 1. It's hard to find good help and 2. It's hard to find help period. But we waited close to an hour when we were told 30 min. They had an event that was wrapping up so we finally got a table but when we were seated we probably sat their for 20 min before someone came over and said they don't take orders you have to go order at the bar with your table number. I was confused because the tables right next to us had a server with a point of sale device. So not sure if the whole restaurant is self service and the servers are just food runners or what but as a first timer it would have been nice if the menu said you need to go order your own food or the host told us that. One person from each of a our groups went to order at the same time the 2 couples got their food and were finished by the time my wife kids and I got our food.

It would have been really handy to have an app to order our food with our table number instead of going to a crowded bar. Maybe there was and I didn't see it. I saw a qr code for a beer menu but nothing to order food/drink.

Final thing for of a PSA. It's loud. Super loud. This isn't a negative just informing the public if you are at a table of 6 good luck carrying on a conversation from one end to the other.

Would go back for the food it was really good just get the egg right next time. Not so much for the experience / service.

Ate their on Sunday evening, and we were really excited given the awesome experiences we had sin Solon with them when we are in town.
So first off it’s beautiful! It’s clean, it’s comfortable. We were really impressed by the inside/out ascetic. Our server was very nice and let me try their new summer beer (a citrus wheat which is really good, we even took some home). The pretzel app is crazy soft inside, and has a wonderful flavor, and the beer cheese is out of this world! It has just the right amount of beer to give flavor but not overwhelm the cheese.
Dinner wasn’t as good…
The chicken sandwich needed salt, badly and was unevenly cooked (colored) on the outside and the breading was too moist and falling off. The Mojo Pork sandwich had FAR more onions on it than pork, so many in fact that two different employees noticed the plateful of them that I picked off (not an exaggeration) and apologized. Our server even mentioned that she had already let the kitchen know it was unacceptable. Maybe I am wrong but I don’t feel like I should have to ask you to fix something multiple people realized is blatantly wrong and so I was disappointed that 3 people noticed and none took any action on it.
We will be back for Beer and pretzels for sure, but I will probably skip dinner next time at this location.

Excellent food. HUGE patio.fire pits.covered and uncovered, long list of different types of beers, along with a wide array of cocktails.
Fun place to bring a date or meet a large group of friends!
Also dog friendly!

LOVED the atmosphere. It has plenty for anyone to enjoy. Tv's for watching sportsman killer bar, I LOVE the menu items that are just ever so slightly different from other locations.

Love the setup and abundant inner city parking! I think the merch shop is well set-up, the menu is well thought out and the servers are attentive! Highly recommend a stop here- ask for Roger!

Beautiful restaurant. Looks brand new and super clean. Love the design of the place. Sat at the bar and got taken care of right away. Got the brisket Mac and cheese. It had a pretty spicy kick to it, but other than that pretty good.

1st time here. It was a Monday early evening and rather busy. Seated quickky and server came quickly. We did not get the servers name but he was "everywhere". Didnt even see another server. But this guy knew his job! Was a smaller food menu. Food was good. The only thing.but I guess.pretty much everywhere.was the noise level. You basically had to yell across the table to have a conversation. But that is pretty much the way now.

Have only 1 “bad” experience. And wasn’t even necessarily bad. Ordered the fried chicken sandwhich and was just in a little bit to long. I’m certain that if we’ve said something they would ha e taken care of it. But as for myself working in the service industry and knowing how busy they were (Saint Patrick’s day), it just wasn’t that big of a deal. Just something more to look out for. The fried cauliflower wing is a must and I suggest the Korean BBQ over the Buffalo style. Trust me you won’t regret it. The white cheddar cheesesteak is probably the best I’ve had in the area. But the Brewers Board is my go to everytime. Giant house made pretzel with smoked jagerwurts sausage is to literally die for as pairs very well with all their beers. Their Thai green curry was a big surprise (look it up for yourselves) as tons of flavors at a reasonable price on all items. I do wish they’d bring back the chorizo fries as those were as good as Alba’s. My go to every chance I get.

Giant pretzel was delicious with a nice mustard sauce. The beer cheese sauce was very runny but not a highly processed sauce with back beer notes. The Oyster Stout is delicious. Sounds off-putting but do not be afraid as complex flavor rich and depth draws you to drink this smooth brew. The smoked helles was refreshing and crisp. The building is nice but loud and tight with people bumping the table as they would walk to theirs. Nice ambiance, otherwise.

Really great place, and our server Quentin was great! The place was really busy so we're expecting it to take a while but it didn't. Very impressed with all the food
