I came in looking for a bike for my 9 year olds birthday. The gentleman that helped me was wonderful. He was knowledgeable and patient as we pulled out multiple bikes to compare. She was thrilled with the bike we picked and I couldn’t have been more pleased with the service!

A ladder inadvertently fell on my bike, cracking the back tire completely. I brought it in the next morning and the repair was completed in a couple hours! It was an expensive whoopsies, but the bike shop came through in my time of need.

There was a great selection of products and services but what prompted me to respond and provide feedback was the outstanding service from the young woman that helped me out over the weekend. I had no idea what I was looking for and she assisted me without any hesitation and got me exactly what I needed. Probably the best customer experience I've had in a really, really long time.

So far I haven’t even bought anything from them. I have just been going to ask for advice about my bicycle. They have been very helpful and if I need to buy anything in the future I will definitely go there.

My son had me take in his bike for his free tune-up. He bought his bike there last summer. You get a free tune-up within the first year. Super nice people work there. Tune-up for normal wear went super! No charge!

Purchased a Dumont Catrike in Lava Red and absolutely love it! The staff were incredible to work with and are very knowledgeable. I live almost 2 hours away from Ames and they made it very easy for me, as I only had to make the trip once. They got the bike fitted properly for me and made sure I had everything I needed before I left. Highly recommend Bike World Ames!

Awesome store with exceptional customer service. Will did an incredible job helping me find a beginner/mid level road bike. I really appreciated his attention to detail and that he listened to my wants, desires and needs. He didn't try to upsell me just to make money but was more concerned that I would be happy with the product. Hands down will come back.

Went in to get a bike just about a month ago. They helped me find everything real easily and didnt try to push additional accessories. They have also been very understanding about the maintenence with a new bike! I wanna mention specifically will having been immensely helpful!

Great service and brands. If you don’t find something that fits your need at the store, be sure to ask for what’s available at their warehouse. That’s how I found a used bike in pristine condition for half of new price tag.

Seriously awesome experience here. Stopped by on a whim hoping to check out my options, and Will was so knowledgeable and helped me pick a great bike for my needs. This location sells gently used bikes too, and I was lucky enough that they had the perfect used Trek at a steal. They have an impressive selection, especially given COVID shortages. Having limited mobility in my hips, I wasn’t expecting to find the perfect step-through bike in colors I like on my first visit, but these guys set me up!:)

I highly recommend this place to anyone who wants to get a new bike or get repair work done on their bike. The guys are super friendly and knowledgeable and they help you choose the right bike for you. My roommate and I both got bikes from there and we have been having a blast with those. I got an old Trek and it rides like new which proves they did an awesome job with the refurbishment. Also I had my old bike serviced and they did an awesome job on it and that too very quickly.
