Got an oil change done and they put my heat shields back on loosely. Vehicle was rattling after an oil change. Took it back the next day to see if they could tighten them, said I needed to get scheduled two+ weeks out. Wasn’t going to get scheduled to have a rattle that THEY CAUSED when doing an oil change. Blair’s Ferry tire wouldn’t even look at it when I brought it back in without being scheduled. Took it to Marion Tire the same day and they put a couple of zip ties in to stop the rattle. Blair’s Ferry Tire sucks and I haven’t been back since.
Brought my tuck in to look at a possible Thermostat issue. They claim to have inspected it and found no issue. 3 days later I took the truck on the interstate. After trying to get to speed the truck died and wouldn't start again. After $100 for a tow and $100 for a dealership to look at it, it was found that "someone had reinstalled the duct to the throttle body incorrectly and the rubber from the duct was stuck in the the throttle plate". I of course called Blairs Ferry to ask what they had done, and of course they denied doing anything. I used to come here for all my vehicle needs but will not be coming back.
I typically do my own mechanical work on our vehicles but during planting/harvest season my wife will occasionally take her van here for a oil change as it is convenient for her work. Last time she got back an estimate of various repairs needed on her van. I appreciate them wanting to do a thorough inspection HOWEVER when they stated the rear brake pads, calipers and rotors were shot on both sides. Safe to say either they lied or are completely incompetent. I just replaced her pads and one rotor not 2 weeks previously.
They were helpful in selecting tires, informed me of a component I needed to replace and were able to fit me in the next day to fix it, then came in under what they quoted for price. I'll be using them again
Beware! Check the work being done before you leave the store. We were there sat getting a new tire. I woke up sunday morning to my tire being flat and this was a new tire! On monday The guy my husband talked to was rude and acted like "oh well". Turn s out they replaced the wrong tire on sat. They fixed our issue but not once did anyone apologize for their screw up! We won't be back. Sticking with GoodYear!
