Brioux City Brewery reviews
16Betty White stout is smooth and delicious. My husband is a fan of the Blazed. That is a very tasty, spicy-sweet IPA.
Awesome selection of craft beer — brewed on site!
Spent a delightful afternoon working my way through their stouts
Got to sample several of their IN HOUSE brews and a whiskey of the week. I have to say I really did love the balance in the end results. The stout was exactly what one looks for WITHOUT being too sweet or thick. The Octoberfest was a) classic, exactly what you anticipate and b) intriguing with a fruity aroma that faded softly into the flavors background.
Now I HATE IPA brews usually.to me they all too often taste like the smell of off bug spray. Think I'm lying, go buy a standard IPA six pack of anything. Spray a bit of Off bug spray on your arm note the flavor of the spray even in the air and then take a drink.the resemblance is uncanny.
Ewww.he'll no lmao. But I tried their Blazing Jalapeño pineapple IPA.and it was fricken delicious. Not AT ALL spicy.but you get a subtle yet clearly identifiable jalapeño to offset the sweet pineapple. I'll certainly buy all these brews again.
Great home brew beer! Great charity events! Great people! Great parties! Great community! F***ing great!
So apparently they are celebrating the brewery's 4th birthday this weekend and we got handed these bad boys as a special occasion. It was a one and done deal we felt special. I will for sure come back to this place great craft beer and friendly enviroment.
Not much of a brewery to be honest. This is a typical small town bar that happens to have some of their beers hooked up on tap. Their Irish Red is good (nothing exceptional) and their Stage Driver IPA is meh. Maybe they just need to clean their beer lines better. Also, you pay full craft beer price for a 13 oz glass so it's overpriced for sure.
I've drunk my fair share of beer. But this is the best beer in Iowa maybe even the world. I can't confirm that but check it out.
Excellent Beers, Friendly Staff. Being from out of town I found this to be an extremely friendly and welcoming place.the exterior can be very deceiving.
Great customer service, nice selection of crafts, what more can you ask for! Try the Peanut Butter Buddha Stout
Don't let this one pass you by! Marty's/Brioux City has some amazing beers, brewed in house as well as a few other locals. This is the small, cozy, wind down at the end of the day bar you've been looking for.
Tasty beer in a unique bar setting. Tried a flight and enjoyed the “brioux”. Our favorite was “David Hasselhops” with a nice hoppy floral aroma, good bitterness and 8% abv. Milli Vailla was a bit to vanilla aftertaste for our liking. Looked like a nice patio too but we sat inside on the hot afternoon.
Great beer and amazing staff packed into a dive bar! One of the best brewery atmospheres I've been to!
Place really sucks had bad service all 3 times I was there had to wait 10 minutes before I was served they were too wrapped up and either the Chicago Cubs are the Iowa Hawkeyes
Small place well worth stopping by. They have very very good beer. The bartender was great. Very knowledgeable and willing to explain things about the beers. It is a really fun sports spot. Customers really cheer for there favorite teams. We enjoyed this place a lot and plan to return.
Definitely a "hole in the wall" type of bar/brewery. Pretty decent beers from what I tried with entertaining names. Decent experience!
Just happened to stop in yesterday even though a worker at another establishment said this was 'just a hole in the wall. ' He was right but the beers were very good as was the service. This shows you don't have to be big and flashy to be good. If I lived near Brioux City, they would see me very often. They cater to a very local crowd but welcomed us too. If you like good beer, make it a point to stop in.
