Restaurant Cabo Sol reviews
20Great carne asada. Chips and salsa were dull and bland. Service was great. I'd recommend eating at Cabo Sol
Personal I love the carne asada! Well seasoned and super juicy! Would recommend the burrito cali with steak super delicious! I felt so welcomed! Super nice staff
We’ve gone here a few times and the food is fairly average. Not the biggest fan of the salsa and the passion fruit marg I ordered the last time I went but I did enjoy the pollo al pastor. Service was slow but there was only one person that we saw working so I can’t blame her for it. That said, it did take over thirty minutes for us to get our check when we were finished eating.
This place is just meh, I got the burrito Mar (seafood burrito) and the tortilla tasted like it had come straight out of a package (it was very bland and hard). The portions are on the smaller side too when compared to other local Mexican restaurants. I found myself snacking on the chips after I finished my food because I was still hungry. The waitress was very polite and was friendly, though did not seem to check on people very much. When there are so many other local Mexican restaurants in the DSM area, I would have to recommend them even if they are a little more pricey, you get more food for your money. El Fogon is down the street.
Had lunch here on Saturday and was told no blended margaritas, machines broke okay whatever. I ordered the pastor torta and took 2 bites pork dry and really fatty. The waitress not friendly at all never offered refills, the chips where stale and salsa awful. Then saw head cook wipe his nose on his arm.
Amazing local Mexican spot. Super friendly staff. Morena or her daughter always serve us and they always know our food and drink orders (unless we switch it up which happens sometimes) food is always great, good drinks, all fairly priced. Highly recommend!
I ordered the quesadilla Pacifica it was fantastic. I then tasted my husband's green chili the dish was a party for your mouth! It was seasoned so much that it took me back to going to Mexico.
Delicious mexican fare. The pastor tacos ate my favorite. The waitress was sweet and attentive. The dining room can handle a larger crowd, as there is a big table in the middle. Even tho it's a strip mall location, it feels cozy, and it's attractively decorated. My new fav Mexican place in the Jordan Creek area
Excellent authentic food! Awesome margaritas and great people! Our favorite Mexican restaurant!
The seasoning for the style of the place (decoration) is not at the level, they serve little, the attention that is good is rescued.
If you’re wondering whether or not to come here, take this message as a COME GIVE THESE FOLKS YOUR BUSINESS. You won’t regret it!
This place is really slept on! Food is consistently great, with a reasonable amount of vegetarian options. The in house salsa isn’t my fave, but this is still one of the best Mexican restaurants in the metro.
The food was good, but the service was poor. We were seated, 5 mins later, another table was seated, and the waitress took their drink order first. We had to ask if she was going to take our drink order. I'm disappointed because it wasn't busy at all.
The only two reasons this review gets 2 stars instead one is because my wife liked her meal and they seemed shorthanded on a Friday night.
My meal had very tough, overcooked steak and our server ignored me when I told her my steak was too tough to eat. Around 2/3 of the steak was still remaining when I gave up eating. There was no apology or offer to make it right.
Considering that item I ordered was suppose to be one of their speciality items, I thought I was picking something rather safe.
This place is convienently located to where we live, but I will gladly drive past it to go elsewhere that would better value my business.
Pathetic amount of cilantro. I likely won't return. Also I was given a bag of chips but no salsa.
There is an extremely good vibe here. The staff are attentive and very pleasant. The queso and salsa with thick chips are good. I ordered carnitas tacos and they tasted great. Everything was hot, and tasted fresh. The house Margarita on rocks was good, excellent balance and good value. Overall an exceptional visit ty!
This trip all I got was a margarita, which came with chips and salsa. The wait staff was a very pleasant young lady.
If you want poor servings, over cooked steak, , 2 complimentary chip baskets then pay for the rest I got the California burrito and it wasn't huge like every other Mexican place iv ever been to just not a very good place try Monterey Express in Waukee wayyyyy better and cheaper
Super great service! We stumbled upon this gem after being dissatisfied with another restaurant. The gentleman upfront seated us immediately and took care of our every need! He was so nice and hustled to make the service the very best! The food was beyond great! Such good flavor to everything. We will be returning and cannot wait to try different things!
Amazing food and margaritas! Great cozy spot - glad I was able to stop today. Will definitely be back net time I'm in town.
