Camp Courageous, Monticello IA

A waste of my time, I am never going back there. I got better things to do in my life than just be with annoying autistic clients with a lower IQ. The staff members are so cheesy & dumb, I wish they would stop crushing on me. Now get away from me.

Great place! Rode the train and zipline. Have volunteered a couple of times helping with pancake breakfast and omelet breakfast serving 2500 and 4000+ respectively. Great people.

This vintage VW bus is being raffled by the camp to support the camp. I'd love ️ to be the owner however I love the simple fact I got a chance to sit in this gem thank you so much ️ If you are not familiar with this camp please read info on their site and I strongly recommend doing what you can volunteers, donating buy a raffle ticket ect.to ensure this camp keeps going our community and kids are worth it

Camp courageous does incredible work with people that have all kinds of disabilities and every year they have an excellent car show that helps to raise money for the camp.my granddaughters and I have gone for over a decade and enjoy the show and everything else there.they even allow people to use some of the equipment to see how it helps to grow confidence and capabilities in children that have historically have been put off to the side.my family enjoys this every year and we always take a little extra money to help them out because they do such good work.it's a place where a child gets to experience everything as if they had no disability.

This place is Wonderful. The lodging is clean, modern, spacious. The area is beautiful and tranquil. There is some improvement construction at the moment but still easily accessible and the Zip Line is fun and affordable. Highly recommended!

Awesome camp and staff. Can't say enough great things about it. My son has been going for years and absolutely loves it. We feel perfectly safe leaving him in the capable hands of the staff.

Had the grandkids take swimming lessons, boy were they disorganized in how they set it up. Was really expensive for the 45 minutes a day lessons.

Went to camp courageous as a camper and it was the best and most fun memories I have had so far in my life

Such a nice place. Employees were helpful and friendly. Zipline was a neat experience for kids!

Can't say enough about the camp for special needs campers. Fantastic staff, and great facilities. Special place in my heart for this camp.

The new Zipline was awesome. Our kids didn't want to stop riding it, and 1 is scared of heights. It's awesome how they adapted the archery range for people of all abilities. My only issue is I wish it was closer to Cedar Rapids but other than that the camp and staff are top notch.

Went to a great car show at Camp Courageous! The vehicles looked great! So much to look at.

Excellent facility and beautiful venue. Very nice people. Would highly recommend it for events but also for respite for special needs folks.

Camp Courageous is full of the most loving people. The camp itself is absolutely beautiful and accessible with their trails, lake, and other rentable buildings. This place became my home for 14 weeks, and I cannot wait to come back again one day. If you are looking to come here as a camper or to send a loved one, this is the place. It will quickly become your favorite place and second home. They always have such cool projects going on and are now my #1 place to donate/give to. I have seen the amazing work they have done over the years. I will never forget this place. It has left a touch on my heart forever.
