Campus Recreation and Wellness Center reviews
17Great facilities. Good place to play ball and take dip in the pool wether your an athlete or not.
It was a very nice place but they wouldn't let me in without an ID, even though I had a picture of it
The facility itself is cutting edge. The problem here is accessibility. As a UI student, free parking to use the gym is basically impossible, and since the pandemic it is harder than ever to actually schedule time here. Their limited slots fill up daily, and as a result they've implemented a harsh two-strike policy if you miss a slot. For some reason you can't swipe your ID anymore, so the line to get in is typically out the door and requires twenty minutes of standing. Adapting to these strange times is hard for any business, but the CRWC is failing to stay relevant.
Climbed 2x. 2 dif belayers.got to the top and yelled for belay.no answer.jumped.locked up.belayer wasn't even looking.didn't even care until I yelled at them to let me come down.someone is going to get killed there
Great facility.rock wall.great play pool.great competition pool and dive well.excellent smoothies.much more!
This is such a fantastic facility. We frequently attend swim meets here and we look foward to it every time. Friendly and helpful staff. Great cafe, reasonable prices.
Membership is pricey, but you can't go wrong here with the sauna, personal trainers, countless classes, pool, and steam room.
It has awesome facilities, swimming pool and sauna! I believe you do not feel any difficulties in there.for UI student, it's free/ for faculty family, about $18 for a month/ for non-UI member, about $85!
I love the Zumba insteuctir Rachel. She always keeps the intensity just right and motivates us to work at the level we are comfortable with.
The gym is clean and the employees are polite.
What a great facility! State of the art. So many areas to lift weights and workout. The pool was amazing! Rock wall was an added bonus!
I love swim meets when they are in Iowa City. The Hawks should be very proud of this amazing facility!
This swimming pool is a great recreation for kids. Has jacuzzi and whirlpools. If you are a member and University employee/student, you can get access to the gym, pool and wall climbing for monthly membership fee.
Great for runners, swimmers, casual lifters, and basketball/volleyball. If you're really serious about getting swole, Fitness East is always less crowded.
A gigantic facility (3 stories of free weights, treadmills, machines, pools, climbing wall, and more) to serve our active Hawkeye nation. Student athletes, staff, and faculty like me enjoy this place which is clean, well maintained, and staffed with friendly people.
Indoor pool, Indoor Rock Climbing, running track, weights, and much more. Top notch facility and staff is friendly.
Excellent facility, excellent community, excellent staff: this is one of my favorite things in Iowa City.
I love everything about this gym. The classes, the equipment, the track, the smoothies everything. The only thing holding me back from giving a 5 star review is the showers aren't clean. There needs to be a better system for cleaning them on a regular basis.
