Great place to get your car worked on. Very knowledgeable & friendly. While reasonable I'd still say it's too expensive. But mechanics did their job well while being friendly. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a mechanic or shop to trust.

They did their job, and so far, so good, great customer service, and the mechanics are funny and nice as well. I believe they treat your vehicle as if it was their own, like it's gold and precious!

Gabriel and Nicole really helped us out a few weeks ago in Des Moines. It was Saturday morning and I needed a rear control arm replaced before we could head home the next day. They got us right in and completed the repair by Saturday afternoon. I would highly recommend this CarX location (store 1746). Thanks Gabriel and Nicole!

The attention is lousy and the prices are high I just told him that I wanted to change the brake pads because it was sounding ugly when I braked my Mustang and they told me it cost 500 dollars without even testing it I preferred to go to a Firestone and it cost me 350 dollars cheaper

Excellent service and work. Very professional mechanics and the managers go out their way to assist you and explain the reasons of what is happening to your car. Chris is very patient and friendly and goes out of the way to help customers. This place will do a good job and work with you and not overcharge or do services that do not to be done. Very trustworthy.

The manager Chris was rude and unprofessional. I have paperwork proving I have been there, and all they kept telling me, was that I was not in their system! NO you didn't want to do your job! I will never take my vehicle back there again

I love these guys! I’ve been coming here for years for car repair and maintenance, both big and small jobs. They are friendly, fair, professional, and honest. They get me in on short notice and always communicate well no matter what the issue is with my car. Today they pulled a nail out of my tire, patched it, and sent me home. No charge. I called to schedule an appointment for an oil change. I asked how much a synthetic oil change usually is. They replied with “ 3 million dollars” I stayed quiet and they said it again. I called for a quote not a dumb joke. Very unprofessional.

I've had lots of work done at the Clive Car-X over the years and have always been pleased. The team is professional and adaptable and always does a great job. They communicate well if anything goes wrong and deliver on what they promise. 10/10

Never going back.

I had heard they offer $20 oil changes. When I brought my car in, they routed me to the master mechanic, claiming there was a problem with my brakes. I told them to go ahead with whatever they recommended, which ended up being new pads and rotors for both axles. If you’re smarter than me, you’ll find out this is supposed to be a $500-$600 TOTAL. My final bill came out to $1,400, including an oil change for $100. Total ripoff.

Although later than promised, I came in with NO Appointment! All other shops I have been looking at the past couple weeks sayy next week would be the earliest. They got me done in a few hrs and paid for my delicious street tacos. Chance and Aaron were outstanding with their service and courtesy. Anthony (the mechanic) was top notch as well! I will be returning!

I read a lot of reviews on employees trying to take advantage of customers and over charge them. I decided to give them a try since they are open on saturdays and I needed work done that day (didn’t wanna wait til Monday). All I needed was an axle back installation on my 2017 Camaro. He asked for $480 and said it would take him approximately 4 hours ‍️. Got it installed at Midas later that day for a fraction of the price and in under an hour:)

Don't worry call.someone else. This place has me a witts end. Not only can I never get a straight answer, but I also get 'hey it's going to need this also', then when I say I can do it nyself or have it done cheaper I get the usual no way we have the best price in town speach, and your car could blow up in a fiery crash speach. Well yall don't and no it won't and upon my personal research the mark up is sometimes 50% to 80% over what I could pay for parts. Flat out unbelievable. I'll definitely take my business elsewhere for now on as nobody can afford that nonsense.

Overall good service and friendly people. Sadly though several employees either not wearing masks or wearing them improperly in public facing areas with customers.

Wanted an oil change.was given a list of 'demands' on my vehicle. One of the things included on their 'demands' was 4 new tires, so I asked for a quote, then realized why they act the way they do at this shop. They over quoted my tires by $300-$400 over the next guy.for the same tires. I called a couple of the tire shops down the road and was given a much better rate, I confronted the manager about this and to my dismay they offered a better price only after removing the tires from their "Gold" package. But it was too late the other shop offered all of the "Gold" package perks at a STANDARD rate. Will not be back, I feel as though they were trying to take advantage of me because of the way I look. I also smelt a 'funny' smell from the back.

Never had a bad experience here! They take care of me AND my car. They are so quick and efficient. They are friendly and appreciative. They even shuttled me home so I didn't have to sit there while my care was being worked in! I don't think I'll ever go anywhere else.:)
