If you've done everything you've been told to do, had no water in your house for 3 weeks, and are paying to have a contractor dig up your yard a second time because the city forgot to tell you about a rule, sitting on hold for 25 minutes every.single.time.you call is nobody's idea of a good time.

Eh, they cant accept in person payments during a pandemic but will shut your water off and charge you a lot of money during a pandemic and not even turn the water on the same day after robbing you.

Horrible customer service over the phone. I understand taking calls all day from not happy customers can take a toll on people, but if you cant keep it professional when I have a real issue on the other end, find another job. Worst customer service I have had to deal with in a long time!

This city council is in violation of basic necessities of human rights to require a $200 deposit just because you're a renter. This is discrimination on American citizens! We the people will NOT stand for this obstruction of liberty and basic needs for your constituents!

My brother in law paid them and they are saying he never paid it and sent him a notice. He has the proof that he did. And he never receives the bill on time when they get sent out. I say they need to get it together

I have never received an official bill for over a year. The only time I get something from these people in the mail is stamped final notice notice of disconnection of services and there's always a disconnect tag notice fee of $20

At one point in time they had my account so screwed up I had to send them a picture of my ID through the emails to get it corrected

Cedar Rapids water is good stuff.
However, Cedar Rapids Water Dept. Customer Service sucks.

Lost our recycling can last week, and gave a call to see about getting a new one. She was very helpful and will send out one to me this week. I am happy.

Absolutely horrible service. If CR had another option no way would I go through this company. Completely rude, unhelpful staff. Ask to many questions and they get confused and hang up, really need better training and better quality of employees.

I have to call during lunch because there hours do not work with my work schedule. Calling on lunch and being number 26 in line with no callback feature. Being on hold for over 35 minutes and then still being number 12 in line is terrible. How can I set a payment arrangement when I cannot get ahold of anyone in a reasonable amount of time!

They haven’t picked up my trash on the scheduled day for 3 weeks in a row now we have to call to get our trash picked up I called during business hours was sent to after hours answering service who then hung up on me after asking why my trash is continuously not getting picked up and told me I can ask them that when they are back in the office we pay for this joke of a service!

I’ve had several issues with this water company. One, the bill pay system is horsesh! T. It’s like playing find Waldo so you can give him money but he keeps changing locations.and then by the time you find him he’s already turned your water off.

Then they charge you a reconnection fee.

One time I had emergency surgery out of town and was held up for two weeks.

I never received a call or text letting me know the water was going to be turned off.

I find later that my soon to be ex has turned off all the utilities while I was out of town.

When I asked to have the service placed in my name they wanted me to pay the current and passed balance first, even though the ex has established residence elsewhere. My other option was to start a new account. However the new account requires a deposit, funny that it’s over $300 just for a deposit to get water. And of course I’d still be liable for the past due balance.

There were two other times that I had made a payment and the following week they turned off my water. Their excuses were that their system didn’t catch the payment soon enough even though the money came out of my account.

My Ex has been out of the house for two months now. And I was out of town half the time. How the hell can my water bill be over $200? They don’t give two sh! Ts about you. I have a toddler that lives with me. We are having a hard time making it with this COVID outbreak. They don’t care in the LEAST bit about the welfare of you or your children.

If you have any issues with them I suggest you hire an attorney otherwise you may as well be dealing with the Chicago mafia.

They have the worst implemented auto pay system I have ever seen. Then they give you almost no notice of termination of service if you forget to pay. I have seen start up companies with better websites.

My water bill consistently gets more and more expensive. I have had my property tested for leak and installed energy saving everything. They still charge what they want. We are a 2 person household with a 200 bill. Rediculous

Declined a card payment for no reason, shut off my water without notification on a Friday so I have no water for the weekend. Condescending attitude when I call their answering service.

This place is a joke. Been on hold since 930am. No one answers. All I need is a simple request to switch the water in my name. They must need help in the office because how long I have been waiting. Called alliant, mid American, no issues. Even mediacom was better. This is absolutely ridiculous negative 100 stars.

Turned my water off for $13! Payment due on the 25th they start sticking water disconnect stickers on your door the 10th WOW
