Chester's Chicken, Shelby IA

Came in to order lunch and Ivonne who was clearly still in training tried her best to answer my questions. However Lyod was incredibly rude toward her when she asked him for help. It was upsetting because as one employee is in training and clearly trying hard the other should not be so rude and rob her of the opportunity to be properly trained. I almost left when he was so bothered to help her explain menu items to me.

Chicken liver what was in there were dried out. The box was almost all hard breading w/ a few small pieces of dried out liver. I had looked forward to getting these all weekend.

Good food, but horrible customer service. Short young lady with glasses is very rude to myself and other customers

Another Chester's another forgotten biscuit. It's my fault for not making sure EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. The meals aren't exactly cheap I'd like everything I paid for. Tenders were good though. Booooo to getting rid of corn.

I truly love Chester chicken and Everytime traveling the highways. I look for a Chester chicken at Love's truck stops

The chicken is fresh and very tasty. Well the best on any off the highway truck stop. Chester offers whole chicken wings, tenders, gizzards, potato wedges, mash potatoes, and much more.

Shout out to Udo (spelling?). Best customer service I've seen in awhile. Anybody at corporate who has the ability to do so, would be wise to give this guy a raise. Personality and a light hearted sense of humor combined with fresh af food inspired me to up my order to double what I had originally intended to spend. Thanks for making this road trip less boring.

Shaila is the rudest person I have delt with! She wants to argue and play the last word game with you over. 99 charge for gravy! All I did was ask why today I was being charged to put my gravy on the side (yes I ordered mashed potatoes) but last night I wasn't charged. Doesn't gravy come with mashed potatoes? I didn't ask for additional gravy I just wanted the portion that came with the potatoes. Pretty sad I had to take a trip back to elementary school just to get lunch!

I quite enjoyed the two chicken sandwiches I got for $8 at Chester's. Very tasty. Had one on the spot, and another later. They really showed how good the chicken from Chester's can be.

My kiddo has egg food allergies and they made a special batch with no breading just for us. Super kind and friendly service.

The most annoying cashier i ever seen in my entire life. Rushing me to order, asking me every 20 seconds if I'm ready to order while nobody is waiting behind and I'm explaining to my friend what are on the menu cause he speak french. I ended up leaving cause she seemed to have other things to do.

Chicken was dry and unedible only problem with macaroni was the noodles weren't fully cooked.

Worst service ever. Rude lady seemed put out to do anything, lacking customer service. Food was overpriced, low quality.

I stopped in to pick up a 3 piece chicken dinner and asked for two legs and a thigh. When I opened the package at home, it contained the SMALLEST chicken thigh I've ever seen. It was smaller than the chicken legs. It could have been a wing but the bones were similar to a thigh. I was extremely disappointed as I do like Chester's Fried Chicken. Going forward, I will ask to see the pieces BEFORE the lid is closed in the box. If my order was correct, I would have rated my meal a 5.

I just left Chester's with my usual order. It's always good. I write to make a special note in praise of the crew that was working on Thanksgiving night. They were friendly and cheerful and wishing everyone a Happy Thanksgiving. I was very impressed because of their service and cheerfulness and the fact that Chester's was even open. GOOD JOB! The McDonald's next door was closed.

We always stop here when we head east through Iowa. The chicken wasn't as hot and fresh, last time, as we are used to but it did the trick.

Super good! The chicken is moist and the breading is really good. The server was really nice, and recommended the fried corn, and it turned out really good!

The food was hot and fresh and the guy working at the counter happy and friendly. I will be back here as often as I can.

The staff was incredibly nice and helpful. I only got a chicken wing and some mac and cheese. The wing was really good. It was nice and crispy. The mac and cheese was alright. It wasn't anything to remember, honestly.

Good chicken poor packaging. Not cool that all my food fell thru the packaging. I won't go back to this place solely because of the poor packaging. How is someone, on the road supposed to manage this mess?

I don't understand why any one would go to the colonel when there's a Chester's nearby.
