Stopped by and listened to local music outside. Great relaxing experience. Good food, good music.

Absolutely lovely. Coffee, chocolate, ice cream and wine. All the fine things, in a very fine setting.

A staple treat! Love the staff, history, coffee, and gelato. The chocolate is some of the best I've ever had. We like to go there as a simple chill date. It's difficult to be stressed in such an amazing place!

It’s very unusual to find a candy shop like those found in Europe in the Midwest, but that’s just what it is! I stopped into select a few candies for my sweetheart. I prefer to choose rather than get the pre-boxed type. They have a lovely little patio for the warmer times & a nice, small sitting area when it’s not as nice. The coffee is wonderful, as well.

Didn't even know this placed existed. The mouse chocolates are really neat looking. Any of the chocolate made here is a hit for anyone with a sweet tooth.

Lovely store with extremely knowledgeable staff. The handmade chocolates are beautiful to see and even better to eat. Huge selection from stem and stone cherry cordials to filled chocolates in milk, dark and white chocolate. Their homemade gelatos are creamy and delicious. This is a must when in Des Moines.

Stopped in on a chilly, rainy, & gloomy Iowa day. Stam warmed my body, spirit & soul with their wonderfully rich chocolate & cappuccino! A must stop in Des Moines!

Super friendly, easy to talk to, and quick service! However, it was pretty empty when I came in. It's a gorgeous place with a piano. The style is incredibly elligant!

Good family heirloom, nough said. There is a seating area to drink your tea and coffee by a grand indoors. There is a small outdoor patio, which makes for a very cozy music venue performing in the summer months. You can go have a piece if chocolate with your date, then go walk it off around Gray's Lake.

So much care and technique goes into everything they do at Chocolaterie Stam. A few of my favorites are the white mice, dark chocolate marzipan creams, the liquorice allsorts, and if course the gelato.

They had the unbelievable assortment of Truffes. We try to always have them for valentine.the best choloates.

It had a variety of options outside of chocholate to choose from. The hot chocolate was amazing! Small, cozy yet romantic place.
