Cinema West Theatre, Mason City IA

I was excited to go to a matinee in the afternoon! My grandson loves black panther so of course I had to see the second part. The parking was ample and the seating was amazing. I felt like I was in 1st class. The popcorn was fresh and the kiddie combo was just right for me. A visit I am sure to do again. Pricing was average and well worth the big screen and surround sound.

I downgraded from 5 to 3 stars because they don't show 3d movies any more. Now we have to go to des Moines to watch 3d movies.

Come here often to see new films, they even play anime films which are awesome to that community in such a small town.

Price is right on $5 Tuesday. The recliners were comfortable and roomy! The lobby was packed with people waiting in line for concessions. Would visit again.

Pretty decent place. I’m probably the only one who isn’t a fan of the reclining seats. I prefer fabric covered seats. A little pricey to see a movie, but not terrible. I give it a solid four stars.

Great theater with outstanding sound! Tuesdays make a cheap date night ($5.50 p/p) and snacky specials too. Only complaint is that I wish the seats would be cleaned between shows. Idk why people have to be so piggish.

Clean, generally there is a good selection of movies. Concessions are ok. Candy selection could be expanded a little.

Love catching a movie in one of the LDX theaters. I have been spoiled as sitting in a regular theater is now disappointing.

Batman is The worst movie I have ever seen can I get a refund bad bad bad I knew in the first five minutes I was not going to be good

Good Cinema overall! And a good experience watching the movie (spider man). The seats are very gold and comfy (lie-down). Good popcorn and drinks and enough parking spaces for the time I was there. Only think taking it down is a little narrow entrance to the cinema.

While the theater was as normal as any, what stood out was the management. What a sorry excuse for leadership.
After our movie we noticed a very young girl (maybe 2) wondering the lobby unattended. There were several who looked for some sort of family, aka parents for 45 minutes. Yes 45 minutes. Even though management knew this child was unattended they did nothing to help this little girl find her mommy. She was calling for her mommy. The management did not care. 2 people working there did help in the search. How this little one was left unattended by her parents is beyond me. If it had been up to me they wouldn't have gotten her. May i add as well that, the mason city police were not worried about it at all. They didnt show up till 20 minutes the family left. Just because its a theater dont think for a moment your all that important. Especially you lost child. Your just another dollar in their pocket. Very disappointed.

Plenty of movies playing. Can buy tickets on line. All theaters have assigned, reclining seats.

It was really good for my second time going there but the should put the seat warmers back tho

Most comfortable seats I have ever sat in in a movie theater! Was not impressed with the pretzel bites though.

They support kiosks to decrease lines as well as pre-purchases online. The snacks have a lot of variety and they have a rewards program. The seats are reclining and the atmosphere is clean and quiet. I love Cinema west!

Always clean, staff is kind and as quick as they can be at the snack counter. The gentleman who you usually see upfront was extremely helpful. I purchased online tickets and picked horrible seats. He allowed us to swap seats and there was no hassle! Amazing movie night for my kids and I!
