Wonderful clear water, easy going all age swimmers and sunbathers. Unexpected treat live band started at 6 p.m. (part of special event calendar)!
Loved this park since forever. AND with the new over pass bridge over iowa river. Its absolutely wonderful
Get out and relax and enjoy
Took some time to get off the farm and play at the pool. If I lay they sold Kalona SuperNatural Organic Whole Chocolate Milk in the vending machine!
Parked there briefly to switch drivers. My husband is riding his bicycle home and I'm driving home. The park was populated with bicyclists and walkers. Cars were still coming in as we left. Daffodils are blooming 4/9/23 Easter Sunday.
The grass is usually kept well, and there is a playground in the middle city park area near the tennis courts. There is a pool in the upper city park, multiple little picnic areas to enjoy parties, and a bike path near the river. There are tennis courts and little league baseball fields in the lower park area. Also, there is an outdoor theatre that hosts plays in the summertime. There is plenty of tree shade, but also open areas to enjoy the sun. We come here to enjoy the weather on nice days with my 4 - and 7 year old! A great place to enjoy a picnic, kick a soccer ball, play catch, fly a kite, or throw a frisbee. A sure way to enjoy a day without spending money!
Summer there is a pool. Lots of bike trails. Nice place for a picnic. Most of the kids tous hv been taken out.
We loved the playground here! It was awesome! So much space for kids or anyone to do whatever activities. It's lovely here
Lots of open green space, as well as parking. Several play structures, and a myriad of well appointed gazebos are available for use.
Very popular place. Has alot of things to do playground swimming picnic area and shelter restroom availability.
Had never knew all of this was in my back yard went down for softball Amazing. The staff was Amazing was a hot weekend and wish i could of visited other areas of the park. Will give me another opportunity to go there again
We catered an event there great place for family events events check out their is there outdoor casinos plenty of room for family reunions birthday party's.
Amazing park in Iowa city, with a lot of options: theater, playground, pic nic, barbecue, fishing, boat, swimming pool, running.
With a lot of parking spaces, public restroom.
There is a spot where you can park and find a place to fish or dock your boat.
Definitely a good park to spend good time with your family, kids and friends!
