Classic Frozen Custard, Des Moines IA

Don’t trust ANYONE that doesn’t give this place 5 stars. This is Des Moines’s finest. The lemon is my absolute favorite, but any flavor I’ve ever had has been outstanding. TRULY the best cookies and cream I’ve ever had in my entire life. Staff is so kind & portions are out of control.

This was my craving while carrying my oldest son back in 1988. I moved back to Iowa last year after being gone 35 years. I'm very pleased to find it still open and also surprised that service and quality are still exceptional.

We love this place, the custard is amazing, the employees kind and helpful snd s great value for your money!

Lived in Dm for over 30 +yrs an never got anything from here but was introduced to a milkshake that is beyond "BUSSIN" I was amazed of the great tasting flavor.definitely will be back to try more things. 10+

Definitely a place to go if you like frozen custard. Been in Des Moines for a very long time It is a little known local favorite They have all kinds of frozen custards and toppings. You can mix and put them into. This place is always packed so make sure you get in for an early treat right before or after lunch cuz dinner time is nuts but it's worth it

Had the small banana custard malt. Absolutely delicious. The small was plenty filling. Quite big, actually. Can't imagine what the large looks like! My date had the black raspberry malt. She loved it. Nice nostalgic trip to get a cool summer treat.

Amazing. Even short staffed they were patient and very fast at getting orders out. The scoops were pretty big as well. I highly recommend going here.

Delicious custard that is worth the trip! Had a double scoop bowl of cookies and cream for me, and a single scoop bowl of vanilla for my dog. We were both super impressed!

Local spot for great ice cream. The staff (I believe the son) of the family / owners gave us awesome recommendations and fun stories! You better understand the serving size because they are not joking here! I couldn’t even finish a small! Lol. Highly recommend!

The sweetest guy ever! A father and son run the place and the son was extremely kind and friendly I can't even explain how happy and chill and comfortable I felt, just great ppl all around! Not to mention how amazing the shake was! This place is amazing pls check them out b4 they close for the season!
