Cornerstone Church, Ames IA

I found this church due to being homeless. Their home for awhile program did put us in an apartment. However shortly after my marriage dissolved. I got nothing but criticism about my situation and attempted to be talked out of anything I had to do to keep myself and my son safe from my wife who assaulted me the night we split up. So much hypocrisy. Get told to reach out. I reach out and get nothing but argument back. Also to be part of the program it's a requirement to attend church. So with that they are violating civil rights forcing religion.

Well this is tricky cause I was told to get in touch of cornerstone church in Ames cause we are homless and desperately needed help with a tent so I did and I left voicemail and I filled out a form to get help. After 2 weeks he goes to the church to get help. And the pastor says we don't help with tents and then we get an email saying the reason why they didn't help us was cause he didn't stay for service. Now I'm sorry but that is bull I was literally sitting on the sidewalk in Ames with my dog and my oxygen machine in the heat. So no he wouldn't go to service so thank you cornerstone church I appreciate you turning us away. They must worship the devil cause gods children doesn't do that

Love the services! I feel energized and closer than ever to God after worship at Cornerstone. The pastors are all phenomenal speakers, but I have to say Mark Vance has such heart and passion I am riveted when he teaches from the word. That being said they are Baptist backed, so support of the LGBTQI+ Community is not there and considered sinful.

I come occasionally for the Recovery Group that meets on Monday evenings at 6: 30. Music and teaching are followed by small groups followed by dinner and fellowship.

Always off the charts awesome. Fantastic worship and the energy is amazing. Love this place.

I love returning via stream to hear what is preached from the auditorium at Cornerstone. Back in college Mark said something to the ring of not letting college be the high point in our lives and that we wouldn’t lose our hunger to hear about Jesus. I am grateful to have had such a solid foundational teaching as it helps me navigate the dim world of solid gospel teaching. I’ve found a good Church home, but there’s nothing wrong with chiming back to hear from fellow Cyclones! Thank you all for loving Jesus well and being a light to the world from small town Ames, Iowa:)

Honestly I can’t take it there are people doing inappropriate acts and they sell old pizza that should be properly sold I would put a 0 star but can’t
