Crab Attack Seafood Kitchen & Bar reviews
16Amazing food, fun cocktails and super friendly staff. Great music and atmosphere. We will be back frequently!
This was my first time visiting the restaurant; they recently changed locations and are now in the old Bistro’s location in uptown Marion. My husband and I went for an early dinner, so there were not many people in the restaurant, which made us skeptical, but I am so glad we stuck around. The wait for food seemed a little long, but it was well worth it because my meal was so delicious. I ordered the blackened salmon and added a side of butter noodles and a corn cob YUM! The salmon was cooked well (which I like), and the rice and broccoli sides it came with were so good. I will be back soon, five stars.
This place isn’t the worst i just feel like it’s kinda overpriced.gumbo ain’t all that either, im from st mary parish, Louisiana born and raised and that ain’t no gumbo… it was a little too salty and it was more like stew bc it was thicker it was still okay, but gumbo also takes a while to cook and it takes practice so i feel like thats probably why, also they didn’t have a lot of people working so it’s hard to prepare a huge amount of seafood while also serving food to 6 other people, if anything id say they need more people working there and they need to start using crab boil and zatarans seasoning so all of the meat can be flavored.they did good for being a seafood boil place in the middle of the midwest.
We drove an hour and a half to try this place. Never been here. We did the Feast. It was enough for two people. The waitress was very friendly. The food was yummy!
The only thing I would change is keep the butter sauce hot! Highly recommend it. Very messy, but had a good time feasting.
I had one of the BEST meals! The pasta with shrimp and andouille sausage. The flavor was amazing! Nice size portion too… can’t wait to go back!
The WORST seafood I’ve ever tasted. The shrimp had a tar fake texture. The seasoning was disgusting. Garlic butter shouldn’t be a thick gravy, or even taste like gravy. Our server hardly helped us, the other server caught on and helped us more. For the trouble they took a $2 drink off, WOW.
Also, the changing table was filthy. I would never try this place again.
Horrible environment, horrible food & horrible service.
Excellent food and service. Will be going back for the stump and crab legs in butter garlic sauce!
This place is AMAZING! Food was so tasty I can't rave about it enough! Will be coming back again and again!
No music or background noise playing at all - very awkward could talk to people across the restaurant with how quiet it was. Not a lot of people there and unorganized. Food wasn’t bad for Cajun seafood in Iowa
If I could leave no stars I would. Worst experience I’ve ever had at any restaurant. (Beware you could be eating food someone took home and was made to bring back)
The food was excellent. Had the Little Crabby with Crabby Cajun. The sauce is to die for. Customer Service was great as well.
Beware, you can't eat in the restaurant and hour before they say they close. Crab legs are not takeout food.
I've never been to a place that offers a seafood boil before, so I wanted an explanation of the concept before ordering. Our waitress, Tava, was perhaps the most pleasant waitress I've ever encountered: patient with my many questions, very courteous, thorough in her explanations, and wearing a nice smile any time she came to the table. My one disappointment was that the seafood boil is a 1 pound minimum, which was more than I could do, since we were traveling and had no way to take our leftovers with us. Too pricey to do that. But I ordered the pasta dish instead, and it was wonderful! Can't say I'm any expert on Cajun food, so I can't compare to that which we had on our honeymoon now 18 years ago, but my wife and I both enjoyed our anniversary dinner here very much. The atmosphere wasn't a fancy date night setting by any means, but very fitting for what appeared to be an intentional off-the-main-path Louisiana shack.
We're rarely in Cedar Rapids, and when we are, we're usually eating at my aunt's house, but I'd sure like to return to this place if the opportunity arises.
Got the seafood boil, some crab legs and shrimp, to go and it was sooo good! Butter sauce was
Went with a group. The Gumbo was good. The chicken was done but could have been browner/crisper.
I am from Louisiana/Arkansas so this is not it. I ordered the lil crabby and I didn't like it, the sauce was terrible and too thick and Salty. I will not be coming back here. I know a lot of ya'll probably never been to the south but if you are, try a seafood boil there. The servings did not add up and who cuts a piece of corn on the cob in half.
