23If I could give zero I would, dealt with Travis and off that bat that was unpleasant. You can tell he's only in it for commission. I was sold a 2005 Toyota Corolla, and it looked nice at first, ran well, low miles, for 2,500. Little did I know the car would shut off and not even click turning over 2 days later. Told him I had 2 kids to worry about and he sold me this. So no I do not recommend c&s unless you have too much money to worry about buying garbage.
Drove 50 miles to check out a vehicle they had advertised on Facebook Marketplace as a manual. Their layout of vehicles is a complete mess, but luckily found the vehicle easily. The car they were advertising as a manual was actually an automatic. A salesmen came to talk to me, but didn't have any other manuals in their possession to show us. Would give higher rating if the advertisement was not an error and if they had more options.
I would recommend going elsewhere, this company isn't looking to make any deals. We offered asking price out the door for a vehicle on the lot with $3k cash down and rest financed with pre approval already in place.their counter offer? $100 off.the only reason they got 1 star is they were friendly when we arrived. Nice thing is that just like losing a girlfriend there are plenty of other fish in the sea and another dealership will value our business.
3-20-2021 we went and test drove a vehicle. While we were on the test drive the salesman took our car on a test drive. The car had no problems and had been driven at another dealership an hour before. When we got back we were told that her transmission was going out and it didn’t run correctly.
The vehicle was fine when we left and major issues when we got back.
Go somewhere else! These guys are crooks.
I contacted five dealerships in the area via email and Scott Thurn at C & S replied the most quickly with the best quote on a new Subaru. He upheld his great first impression throughout our communications via email and text, and in person on the day of the sale. Signing all the paperwork was straightforward and took just over an hour. I would highly recommend Scott and C & S to friends, family, and strangers alike.
Great purchase price! "negotiations" took less than 30 seconds. Scott Thurm is the best- very knowledgeable and addressed every question and concern. C&S has been our go-to dealership for 18 years.
I had the best car buying experience here! I had already been played a couple times by other dealerships that week, so I'm sure my attitude towards them at first wasn't the most pleasant, but it went so smoothly and better then I could have asked for.
Cameron was wonderful to work with. He went above and beyond to make sure I was completely happy with everything. He was so easy to talk to and actually listened to what I was looking for. I never felt obligated or pressured like some sales people make it feel. And Cody in finance made the buying part super simple.
Overall it was a great experience and I will be giving them my business in the future as well!
Friendly staff like Chas made this service department my favorite. Helpful, knowledgeable, accommodating. I always feel like I'm getting good advice and service rather than being taken for a ride. The sales team could learn some great lessons from service.

Great experience working, first with Ryan thru email, awesome communication, setting everything up for a quick and fast transaction for when we came into purchase our new Outback, then to salesman Cody showing us all the features of the car, then hooking us up with Justin the finance person making everything go so fast and smoothly. We recently drove from Cedar Rapids to Waterloo to look into a used vehicle at C&S. Justin Lockard was more than accommodating - helping to install 2 car seats into our test drive and make our young (crazy) family comfortable in the process. I told Justin we were interested in a cash car and never once did he bring up financing or try to sell us up. Would recommend.
I am pleased to recommend salesperson, Cory Hackett. Cory was courteous and listened to what I was looking for. He showed me the options with no high pressure to buy beyond my budget. So, I bought a Subaru from Cory.
Update (8/27) - Just purchased a 2019 Santa Fe, and as expected, the folks at C&S made everything easy, and fast! It is a GREAT vehicle!

I contacted every Subaru dealership in Iowa looking for my new Crosstrek. C & S offered me the best prices for my new car and trade-in. Ryan Lockard and Scott Thurn were professional, courteous, and promptly answered all my questions and phone calls. If I needed another car today, I would definitely contact C & S. I recommend this dealership to others!
I have purchased two brand new cars from C & S. I had one good car buying experience & one horrible car buying experience, so I'm not sure how to rate them. Unfortunately after the bad experience I had last time I won't be back. I especially didn't care for the manager Jerry.

They will get you the exact car that you want at a great price, without any hassle. The customer service is impeccable. I call Justin, who is an absolute joy to work with.
