Des Moines Christian Church

What a great church. Don’t worry that they don’t have a permanent building yet. The members are really diverse in age and race, but very devoted to God and one another. No matter where you live, it’s worth the drive to be there.

Amazing family at the Des Moines Christian Church with people intentionally and genuinely wanting a relationship with you. Always amazing lessons from our leaders, brothers and sisters.

This church is very personal, from the time you enter there is a lot of support and love in this place. The teachings are from the bible and my family learns something each time we go. This a family place to learn, grow, and share in the mission of Christ.

This is an amazing church! I have been a member for over 25 years. There is diversity and unity among all the members and visitors. The friendships are wonderful helping each other to be more like Jesus. Come and join us for service!

So thankful for this faithful group of believers. They are a true family. I’m new to the area and they welcomed me with unconditional love and hospitality.

I call this my church, great family, small groups make it happen outside of Sunday. Lots of ways to feel connected and too help each other with life.

Been coming here for just over 3 years. It's a group of people devoted to each other and loving each other when the loving gets hard. Theres a lot of emphasis on evangelizing and having 1: 1 relationships. If you're looking for a friendly place to 'hang your hat' I'd try this one.

This is a church that seeks after Christ whole heartedly. You can expect to be welcomed in the door, to hear God's word spoken powerfully and with conviction, and to see an almighty God work through his people. If you have been praying to find the right church I would take this as a sign.

This is a great Bible-based church with sermons that touch your heart, a wonderful worship service, and meaningful fellowship. There are great classes for the kids where bible lessons are taught at age appropriate levels. Diverse group of believers of all ages, races, and backgrounds. Something for Campus, Singles and Marrieds. Worth checking out!

We have called the Des Moines Church home since 2012 and love the family. This is a place to belong and to make a difference. Ethnically diverse, loving, committed to the mission of Jesus. Great children's programs and youth events. Families, single people, empty-nesters will all find a home here as we have.

I have lived all over the USA with work. I came to Des Moines Church of Christ as it is part of a network of churches. I moved here last December for work and was instantly invited to a Christmas Party with one of the small groups. These are true disciples. Open, honest, caring and truly involved in your life. You are part of a family of believers. Connected through Christ. We play baseball together. We pick each other up at the airport. We lend out cars. If we have to move, we don't ask each other for help moving, we ask each other what kind of pizza we want after we are finished moving (think about that one). Great church! Filled with people of all ages and backgrounds that worship God. Devoted to Jesus and God's Word. Serious about living out God's plan for their lives. Excellent family groups so that no need falls through the cracks. Impressive!

Great people! Fantastic place to worship! There is a good mixture of Instrument based worship as well as A cappella. I really feel welcomed by the congregation!

I really enjoy Worshiping together on Sunday’s. The diverse group of believers singing praises to God with authentic preaching that challenges me to grow in my walk with God. The great relationships that help each other with our walk with God is unlike any other that I have experienced. My daughter is so excited to be a part of the kids ministry. Unlike any place else I've visited in 20 years in Des Moines. Genuine love and concern as a whole once you walk in the door. Inspired preaching, and people who respond. Outside of Sunday there is day by day willingness to help others know our great God, and to heed Jesus call before he returns. Check it out yourself!

I feel so blessed to be apart of an actual family of bible-believing and practicing disciples whom not only meet during churchwide gatherings, but even strive to build the one another relationships described in the Bible. It’s also cool to see Acts 2: 42 lived out. People keep it real and strive for repentance, thus making me feel safe to be vulnerable. The Spirit is alive and evident. The sermons are inspiring, yet challenging - addressing the heart and pointing to Jesus. Discipleship is practiced. Worship is of vertical praise. What’s more, this church is part of an even larger international group, where disciples connect on a global scale. I can attest to this after having visited my brothers and sisters in India, Canada, Romania, Isreal and the Philippines! Absolutely thankful to DADDY GOD for the Kingdom!
